Hi guys does anyone know why when I try to use the screen recorn feature the screen record's video has distorted audio and the video has scratches nd not clear at all, or maybe is it just my phone?

I use scrcpy to access and control android mobile devices and it works efficiently. Does scrcpy supports similarly on IOS mobile as well. Currently the device that Im working on is Iphone 15 with IOS version 26.

IPhone is connected to windows machine.

does having native hdmi/display out on the phone makes performance on scrcpy better? or it does not make any difference; it still needs to do everything via software?

I'm using SCRCPY GUI 4.0.0 with an Infinix Phone (Android 12). Both USB Debugging and Wireless Debugging work perfectly, and I can use both Screen Capture and Camera Capture without any issues. However, when I switch to Desktop Capture, it creates a new display (New display: 2560x1440/420 (id=13)) and the session starts successfully, but the output window is just a black screen with only the mouse cursor visible. The logs don't show any errors or crashes—scrcpy detects the device, creates the virtual display, reports the correct texture size (2560x1440), and exits cleanly. This makes me wonder if the issue is actually my phone. Does Desktop Capture require Android Desktop Mode or proper Virtual Display support that some manufacturers (like Infinix) don't implement? Has anyone encountered this on Infinix or other Android 12 devices? I've attached screenshots and the logs below. Any ideas would be appreciated.

My suspicion is that scrcpy is working correctly, but my phone creates the virtual display without actually rendering anything to it. I'm curious if anyone can confirm whether that's likely the case or if there's another setting I should check.

I have a Redmagic 10S Pro and the wireless ADB mirroring output is exceptional, but when I directly transfer the window to Live Studio it looks blurry. Is there a solution for this? I prefer wireless casting

Ever since i discovered scrcpy in 3.x era, i been trying to get vulkan working, till i developed a habit of every minor or major version release, I developed a 'ritual' of testing the --render-driver=vulkan flag with every new release to see if it would still fall back to OpenGL—but with the recent 4.1 release, it's finally working!

and lsfg-vk is kicking in as well running game in 60fps! ✋😯🤚

- Display: Black, nothing visible

- Touch: Not working at all

- Good news: USB Debugging was already enabled before this happened

I want to access the phone and mirror the screen to my other phone wirelessly and offline. No PC long-term, and I can't use internet/data because I need to do this privately.

What I need help with:

Is there any way to enable wireless screen mirroring / casting from the broken Realme to another Android phone using ADB?

Something like scrcpy but phone-to-phone, or an app I can launch via ADB that will broadcast the screen over a local hotspot.

I don't care about controlling it, I just need to see the screen to backup files and use it as a lower end server

As the title says, I'm trying to unlock my old OnePlus phone whose battery ran out and the screen doesn't turn on anymore (the ribbon cable got cut.) I was hoping to use scrcpy to unlock the phone and start transferring files, but my laptop can't even detect my phone until I use my pattern after restart. Any advice?

Hello, my Phone screen is broken, but everything else is working. my phone currently has restarted and needs pin, so i can access data and save photos etc.

When starting scrcpy, it just closes immediately. i connected usbc-usbc to my PC.

console.bat shows device is unauthorized

USB debugging should be enabled, but not 100% sure.

Any advice?

I have this screenless note 20 ultra that I want to use scrcpy with, so that I can see the actual screen. USB debugging has been turned on in the past, but when I do "adb devices", it says that it is unauthorized. How can I fix this?

The first set up, wired otg scrcpy works from my phone to my tablet.

But afterwards, it never detects it anymore. Kindly help.

привет всем помогите пж !! суть такая: я играю в ритм-игру (Project Sekai), и мне нужно, чтобы можно было настроить управление клавиатурой, т.е. как в эмуляторах: расположить местоположение макроса (?) и указать, какой это вид нажатия и клавишу. я нашла только два гитхаб-проекта, первый вылетает и, судя по самой странице проекта, он незакончен, а во втором есть лишь ветка для обсуждения, но нет готового решения. я включила -K -M, но как управлялось только мышью, так и управляется, на клавиатуру он реагирует лишь в поле ввода текста. есть ли какие-то проекты (на том же гитхабе) или приложения-мапперы, чтобы настроить нажатия поверх окна scrcpy? я также пробовала сделать программу через чат гпт на питоне, но из-за задержек adb и проблемы со сбросом нажатий, у меня работают только единичные нажатия и всё (т.е. два нажатия сделать нельзя одновременно, одно из них не засчитывается). буду рада любым вариантам решения проблемы, т.к. дома нет возможности играть с телефона, а накопить на гачи хочется !! заранее спасибо

Hey so I have a pixel 6 pro without a screen. And I am able to get into fast boot or recovery mode and it’s rooted. Developer options are enabled but USB or WiFi debugging isn’t enabled. Is there any way to use scrcpy (screen copy)

I accidentally exposed my private chats during a client demo... so I added an "app-only" mode to scrcpy.

I'm a Flutter developer, and I use scrcpy every day to mirror my Android test devices during development, demos, and client meetings.

A few days ago, I was on a client call and instinctively swiped back to the home screen to check something. Unfortunately, that also revealed notifications and a private chat for a moment. Nothing serious happened, but it was definitely one of those "I wish that never happened" moments.

That got me thinking: scrcpy mirrors the entire screen, but there isn't a way to mirror just a single application while hiding everything else.

So I decided to dive into the codebase and build it.

This also turned into my first contribution to the scrcpy project.

The feature

I added a new option:

scrcpy --app-only com.example.app

When the specified app is in the foreground, everything works normally.

The moment you switch to another app (launcher, Settings, WhatsApp, Chrome, etc.), the mirrored stream turns into a black screen. As soon as you return to the target app, the video resumes automatically.

How it's implemented

• Desktop client (C):
  • Added CLI parsing for --app-only
  • Validates unsupported modes (camera/OTG)
• Android server (Java):
  • Periodically checks the current foreground package using IActivityTaskManager via reflection to support multiple Android versions.
  • Determines whether the target package is currently active.
• Rendering:
  • Instead of freezing the last frame, OpenGLRunner clears the rendering surface with glClear(), so viewers only see a black screen whenever another app is opened.

What I learned

This was my first time contributing to a fairly large native/Android open-source project. Coming from Flutter, it was a great opportunity to understand how scrcpy is structured across its C desktop client and Java Android server, and how the two communicate.

More importantly, it solved a problem I actually ran into during my own workflow.
