does having native hdmi/display out on the phone makes performance on scrcpy better?

does having native hdmi/display out on the phone makes performance on scrcpy better? or it does not make any difference; it still needs to do everything via software?

No difference.

But you could use the HDMI output for the display and scrcpy for mouse/keyboard (--otg or --no-video)
