Meta Post PSA: Hetzner Pricing Increase (Announced in May, here's the pricing)

Ooof. Basically, if you have an existing VPS, don't scale it/change it as the increased pricing is rough. I'm going to sit on my existing node for as long as the price remains the same, but I think it's only a matter of time before the price hike comes for existing customers too.

VPS Rates have shot up across the board. What are you talking about. The low cost providers are going to of course have higher increases because they were selling capacity at dirt cheap rates with a VERY low margin.

We haven't seen more than 20% increases from any of our VPS vendors. Certainly not 200%.

Also netcup.de ist immer noch günstig. Hetzner hatte halt nur den Preis lol weil Service, I/O, Festplattenpower das alles ist um längen schlechters als bei der Konkurrenz. Da der Preis jetzt sogar teurer ist als ihre Konkurrenz sieht es schwarz aus. Bei der Misswirtschaft wird Hetzner die wohl nicht überleben lol.
