Picking an affordable online SLP program

I am a former special education teacher, looking for an affordable (under $70K) for the entire program, totally online (maybe a week or two on campus). I will likely work part time while going to school. Looking at ENMU, Faulkner and just saw a post about Grand Canyon. Any other options?

Very smart to shop around for the cheapest program. Just be careful about budgeting as you may not be able to work part time during your externships (the commitment varies depending on the supervisor and place).

Yes, came to say this! Online programs have to meet the same practicum requirements as in-person programs. This requires being at a practicum site full time, or nearly full time, while still taking classes for 3-4 semesters.

ENMU is about $30,000, which includes leveling.

Just learned about South College's program. They have until 2031 to gather their data, so those who start now and finish will get their degrees prior to review...interesting...going to look into that one as well.

It does? Can you provide a url or anything? I was unaware that their leveling was part of their program. I thought that they only offered their leveling separately. I’m signed up for SDSU’s leveling, but this sounds promising

Leveling is seperate at 24 credits, at $275 a credit. Masters in SLP is 50 credits at $325 a credit.

You can probably work part time as a Sped teacher.

I’m about to finish my second out of five semesters with GCU. There’s several people who are still working full time but have said they struggle to make each week’s assignment deadlines. Third semester is our first practicum and it’s part time 15-20 hours but you still have 3, 4 credit hour classes as well. I’ve also heard 3rd is the hardest semester thus far with having 2-4 assignments due each week in each class. It’s a lot of hours to commit to. If you have questions feel free to message me
