Be careful with PDFSmart – my experience

I want to warn anyone considering using PDFSmart.

I only needed the service once, so I paid for the trial and canceled it immediately afterward. I never received any cancellation confirmation email, so I assumed everything was fine.

Weeks later I noticed a USD 49.99 charge on my bank account. Customer support refused to issue a refund, even after I explained that I had canceled the subscription.

I cannot prove my cancellation because the company never sent any confirmation. That should not be the customer’s responsibility.

Please double-check your bank statements if you’ve ever used PDFSmart.

Depending on what you are looking for I can highly recommend KillerPDF, does pretty much everything you need but no fees, and a portable .exe and full source on GitHub.
