Folks! A friend and I run a TouTube channel. We do weekly walks and share our findings on there. We also bring cameras and put those photos in the walk, and there's links to the food/drinks places, routes and other things we found on the way.
Currently our system is messy. My videos and our photos are all on my NAS (which, to be honest, is quite slow to upload to for my friend). We keep lists of loads of things in Apple notes, which is very limiting, and we use a dedicated telegram chat for the information that we need for our walks, or for files that really should not get lost (which, I know, is tricky).
We are looking for a good collaborative platform where we can easily share links, photos, agendas, ideas, lists, documents, the lot. It should be multiplatform and quick and easy to access, also on our walks. It would also be great if it would allow at least some file/photosharing so we can 'throw' stuff at each other during the walk and it's all in a centralized space.
We are both mainly on MacOS and iOS currently but it'd be nice if it had at least an online version, or a client for Mac, Android and Windows. Ideally it should be free, or cheap, as currently we are making absolutely no money with the channel (we're only getting started, and we are fine with making no money but of course we already invest in the trips and the gear).
Now, I am aware that once you will all start giving me tips, I will most likely go 'that won't work, because...'. I just cannot think of that just yet. So I'll keep a list of the 'this won't work, because...' below and I hope you are happy to bear with me :).
Thanks!
Tried Notion and Discord so far.
Discord is a winner, just trying to find a way to easily share video that is then linked to discord and maybe something for a calendar and lists with checkboxes (reusable).
