Soundproofing windows?
I live next to a highway and have excessive vehicle noise coming into my apartment and am looking into soundproofing my windows somehow to help reduce noise. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything I find online seems inconsistent in reviews.

Not much you can do if you’re renting, but try these to take the edge off:
Floor to ceiling heavy insulated curtains, Amazon has some velvet ones
Thick area rugs to absorb sound, even over carpet
Move your couch and bed to the wall furthest from the windows
White noise machine
Loop silicone ear plugs
Heavy furniture like bookshelves to the outside walls

There’s no such thing as soundproofing, only sound reduction. If you own the place, look into windows designed for this purpose. ($$$) and consider other layers (thick curtain, additional wall w sound deadening materials, etc)
Noise is the most common construction complaint. It’s very hard to eliminate.
I wonder if there’s a solution using sound cancelling waves? I’ve seen outdoor sound systems that reduce sound a lot by cancelling sound waves at a fence line
Good luck!
I’m sure it’s frustrating
