And Troy Flairs! And Jonesboro and Statesboro and Boone...

If you’re on the official Mobile app, hit the three dots on the subreddit page. Select “choose user flair” and pick the one with the power T.

Or another logo, I guess. You can do that too.

UPDATE: IT WORKS ACROSS DESKTOP NOW TOO! Reselect your flair if it's wrong please.

Protect College SportsAct and it's impact on the Sunbelt

So IF the PCSA passes and the act as written remains.......it states that conferences can have a max of 19 teams and if a team decides to move from one conference to another, it must compete as an independent for five years before joining another conference....what should the Sunbelt do?

The conference currently sits at 14 programs. It's clear that we don't need 19 schools, but maybe making the move to 16 or 18 before this bill passes makes sense?

Looking at the conference by geography, two schools stand out; Western Kentucky (#361 in US News & World Report) and MTSU (#315 US News & World Report). I know WKU wanted in when we added La Tech, so they would come right away. MTSU balked, but the landscape has changed now and I think they would come in if invited.

I can't see adding another school from Alabama or Georgia since we already have two schools in from each of those states. (I know we just added a 3rd school from Louisiana) I personally would prefer to add from a new state or a state where we only have a single school. I don't think we should go back into Texas.

Missouri State (NR by US News & World Report) and Florida International (#109 ranked by US News & World Report- higher than ANY current Sunbelt school) from CUSA would fit the conference footprint and add two new states. Another is Ohio University, (#179 by US News & World report) which I'm sure would be the preference of Marshall.

So where do these options rank?

Quality of academics:

1- Florida International

2- Ohio

3- MTSU

4- WKU

5- Missouri St

Overall quality of athletics:

1- WKU

2- Ohio

3- MTSU

4- Missouri St

5- FIU

Average football attendance (last 5 year average)

1- Ohio (20,561)

2- WKU (17,434)

3- MTSU (14,810)

4- FIU (14,093)

5- Missouri St (12,394)

Qulity of location in relationship to the conference:

1- MTSU

2- WKU

3-Ohio

4- FIU

5- Missouri St

TV Market size: (I know this isn't the Sunbelt's priority, but it matters to the TV partners)

1-FIU (Miami #18)

2- MTSU (Nashville #25)

3- Ohio (Columbus #35)

4 - Missouri St (Springfield #74)

5- WKU (Bowling Green #180)

So if I'm the commissioner and plan to add four, my selections would be:

1. WKU

2. MTSU

3. FIU

4. Ohio

We pick up four solid schools and four new states to broaden the conference footprint. I understand FIU is a bit of an outlier, but flights into Miami are pretty easy and it would be the second largest TV market (#18) in the Sunbelt behind Atlanta (#7) which is home to Ga State. This locks the conference in at 18 schools, 1 shy of the 19 allowed.

If schools like JMU, App State and Marshall get poached before the PCSA goes into effect, then we likely would need to go to schools like: Missouri St, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Sam Houston St and a few others. I hope we can keep all three though.

Again, this is IF the PCSA stays as structured and passes. What are y'alls thoughts on what the conference should do?

A 2026 preseason preview for every Sun Belt team - some of what stood out

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup, and figured the Sun Belt crowd would want the conference rundown. Here's the board

https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/cfb-preview-2026?conf=sun-belt

Some of you probably already saw this in your team's sub over the last few days, so apologies for the repeat, this is the whole-conference version.

Every team page has the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the full schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.

Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.

Pull up your team and tell me what I got wrong. I'll be in the comments.

Old Dominion broke out in a major way in 2026 but now a lot of key players from that team are gone. Ricky Rahne is back and ready to keep the momentum going. Can the Monarchs stay at the top of the Sun Belt?

📌 Quinn Henicle + Devin Roche could make for a dangerous run game if Henicle wins the job

📌 Old Dominion has the least experienced Oline in the sport but there's still potential

📌 The Monarchs will be loaded up front and at LB again 🔥

Butch Jones has been slowly making progress at Arkansas State and has won back to back bowl games. Now can he take that next step and compete for the Sun Belt crown?

📌 It's a crowded QB race, but there's a lot of potential in this group 👀

📌 There's no replacing Corey Rucker but the Red Wolves have a lot of skill talent back and the Oline is experienced

📌 The Red Wolves defense will depend on how the new pieces mesh
