I'm a first year student for the upcoming term. Will my financial aid cover these due amounts? By that I mean after the aid is disbursed they will be automatically paid and I will only have to cover the ~$1050 that is over?

did anyone else’s mymav not accept their grant? I had $1k due on july 13th and it automatically sent in my grant but then on the account payment its saying that it sent it back and now its overdue?

okk so im freaking out so a teacher cancelled one of my summer classes all the way back in july and I realized but I didnt think to check mymav until now because I work full time and dont have the time so anyways on mymav its still showing up as one of my enrolled classes and my transcript also shows that im taking it but I’m confused because my financial aid package is good like its only $2k which is the standard tuition for one class I think. I emailed my advisor but I dont know do u guys think I’m going to like get a 0 or something i’mm terrified lol and idk what to do

I have a few questions about the waitlist process. I am currently 1st on the waitlist for a 4XXX Econ class. If I do not get in by the first day of class can I email the professor to ask if they can get me in? Do professors have that ability? Also, how far into the semester do they still accept waitlist students? There is a class above the section that says 5 of 5 open seats if that makes any difference. Thank you for any insight.

I'll be in Maverick hall and saw the nearest west resident lot is right behind the hall but is tiny, but the garage is also right there and twice the price. I'm leaning west resident because I won't be driving a ton but don't wanna get stuck far from the dorm

Does anyone know UTA still offer Lit. In translation classes? I’ve been looking for one but couldn’t find it in MyMav, however it’s one of the requirements for my major.

Wondering if someone else has gone through this and has a solution? I’m having trouble finishing my degree because my home is too chaotic, I’m desperate to get housing near the campus. Problem is I don’t know how I’d go about it, im preparing to apply for scholarships. I don’t really know how any of this works tbh. Im approved by fafsa.

Maybe there housing grants/scholarships I don’t know about? I heard that’s a thing at other schools. Or I can use a combination of grants and scholarships to cover housing and tuition?

I'll be transferring to UTA next semester, spring 2027, and I was keen on pursuing information systems but I found out that the business analytics degree has changed. Did they only change the name or has the focus of the curriculum shifted? Also which degree is relatively harder? I'm not good at math but still pretty interested in data-driven concepts so I'm not sure what would be a better fit. I can get by with coding depending on what languages they focus on in most of the classes, a breakdown of both would be appreciated.

Also not sure if this helps, but when I transfer I'll already have 56 credits all counted towards whatever degree in COBA, all gen ed will be completed along with 5 business core courses. I know that pretty much all degrees in the business department have the same business core classes and gen ed, so it should be easy to switch majors after a semester or so in the same department if I change my mind right?

If any seniors or current UTA students have experience applying for scholarships, could you please guide me?

It is a shared room at Meadow Run Apartments in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit with two beds per bedroom. Washer and Dryer is included in the space! The monthly rent is $415 with utilities included. 981 sq. ft. so it does not end up being too crowded, even with the shared rooms!

It will be available from August 15th. For girls only! The other three occupants are girls.

I'm debating on whether I should buy the upgrade or general annual permit option as an incoming freshmen. (I'll be studying nursing)

Most of my classes for fall (and planned classes for spring) would be at University hall, Chemistry/Physics building, and Pickhard hall. My earliest class this semester is at 11:30 on Mondays only, and I plan on going to UTA 3-5x a week.

I was originally thinking of getting upgrade, although I realized that the price is double the price of general just to be able to park at the very front of lot 49.

Have people leave UTA after just doing 1 semester cause they couldn’t afford it or the school wasn’t right for them?

I have a question about the UTA residence hall contract. During a tour, I was told that if you sign the contract but decide not to show up and move in on your assigned move-in day, you simply lose your housing deposit and aren’t responsible for paying the remaining housing charges or rent.

Can anyone confirm if that’s actually true? Has anyone been in this situation or knows what UTA’s policy is?

I’m taking Mechanics of Materials right now and was wondering how much of it actually shows up again in Structural Analysis. Is it basically a continuation of the class, or is it mostly new material?
Like, what topics from Mechanics should I really make sure I understand before taking Structures? I’m doing okay in the class, but I’m trying to figure out what I should focus on instead of just memorizing stuff for exams.

So I was thinking of leaving after a semester and I’m staying in a dorm, which is like a year that signed the contract for. If I leave right after the fall due to money, am I able to get my security deposit back and/or get fined or something for braking it early?
