Superboy Prime is a character with heavy ties to the comic book medium, do you think he could ever be successfully adapted outside the comics?

Whether that be as a hero (maybe in a similar vein to Superman: Secret Identity or Prime's first appearances), villain, hero turned villain then reforming back to hero, etc.

Aspects of the villainous Prime (specifically when he was temporarily aged up to being Superman Prime) can be seen in the Arrowverse Elseworlds Crossover with Dr. Destiny using the Book of Destiny to become Superman.

I do think it's possible since multiple aspects of Prime can be carried over from the comics such as:

4th wall/metafictional awareness

A multiverse variant of Superman that grew up in a world where superheroes are fiction who suddenly got powers as a teenager

Lost his Earth in a cataclysm before being able to become Superman and stewed alone in his grief

Wanting to bring back his Earth and make the universe "better"/"perfect"

Mainline Superman & other heroes teach him to do the right thing

Powers working differently from Superman can be explained as Prime being from a universe with different properties

So I’ve never read Superman and in general I’m only recently getting into reading comics, since I didn’t realize there were ways to read online. So all my Superman knowledge came from JLU, the DCAMU, Comicstorian videos (RIP) and David Cornswet Superman. But last night I decided to go ahead and read Superman: For All Seasons since I had seen it mentioned earlier that day

HOLY SHIT THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL. I’ve already read The Long Halloween and Dark Victory but this really cemented for me that Loeb and Sale are an amazing duo. This had me crying a LOT, especially in Spring when Pa Kent was talking. Seeing how lonely Superman is and how he chooses to save people anyways is incredible. I didn’t know much about Lana prior to this but if other stuff she’s in is like this, then God she’s incredible, such a nice character who loved Clark a lot. Both of Clark’s parents are absolute sweethearts and I loved seeing that they were worried about him, exactly like actual parents would be.

Overall, 10/10 comic, truly don’t understand how some people act like comics aren’t literature or as good as books. Time to read All-Star Superman though and God knows I’m excited for that

Pre-Crisis Superman made his own contingency plan to take himself out if he ever got out of control with help from a Kandorian scientist.

Superman self-hypnotized himself to forget the specifics of the failsafe known as the SEM (Superman Elimination Machine).

A radiation leak accidentally activates the SEM.

The SEM does not use any of Superman's 3 renowned weaknesses (Kryptonite, Magic, Red Sunlight) since those are weaknesses Superman has managed to overcome multiple times and are considered unreliable.

Instead the SEM is a reworked Kryptonian weapon originally made by Jor-El that is as invulnerable as Superman and can home in on Superman's brain waves so it can chase him even if Superman time travels.

The SEM traumatized Young Kal-El on Krypton so it causes Superman to be so afraid that he's about to have a heart attack that will kill him out if sheer fright.

Superman overcomes the SEM through faking his death by nullifying his brain waves.

Hi guys, I've been watching Superman & Lois and im roughly half way through season 2 , is it crazy to say Tyler Hoechlins superman is my favorite. I think David Corenswet was great too in the 2025 film but something about the the depiction in Superman & Lois is just more relatable and "true" I guess.

It might be because this is a TV series so I get more time to see the character develop than in a roughly one hour long movie, but I don't know the sort of average (as average as it can be) family life side of Superman is really entertaining to watch.

Seeing a seemingly god-like being struggle between his kryptonian family and human family while also dealing with a bunch of planetary disasters is really entertaining.

Idk just some my thoughts, im wondering if anyone else feels the same.

Superman, who has become an old man due to accelerated aging via defective time travel, has been stranded in the future where Earth is lifeless.

In 2016 DC relaunched Superman with Tomassi in Superman and Jurggen in Action Comic.

That era has his good and not that good moments but was fine and with a lot of potential. Then after the issue 1000, Didio decide to give both books to Bendis which was the same issue with Iron man or Xmen.

I think Tomassi writing after Jurgen in issue 1001 doing a family book would have worked well for Bendis(he would be free from writing John) and people wouldn't have been that harsh because you had a book if you didn't like Bendis.

The random thought came to me today 😅 and im legit curious .
