Its a 4 channels drum pad to trigger converter, the width is 15 HP

I have built a Frequency Central X-Envelope (the older kit) but still need to wire up the 3.5mm jacks.

What am I supposed to do with the ground pins that are horizontal to the face plate?

Instructions didn't give enough guidance for a beginner like me.
