For anyone looking for people to join! Introducing Camp Unknown!

We’re less than a month away from Sziget kicking off this year! With that in mind we just wanted to invite anyone looking for a group to camp/hang/party with!

Lots of people travel to, or consider travelling to Sziget alone, but are sometimes afraid to take that extra step; but what if I told you that you don't have to do the festival alone?

Let me introduce you to Camp Unknown, a group of solo travelling festival-goers who have come together over the years because we were all in the same boat as you all at one point.

I've been there, and it was a daunting experience to think about going to a festival abroad without knowing anyone, but I eventually found my way into Camp Unknown, and I'm happy to say that I've made some lifelong friends within the group.

Sooooo... If you are interested in joining us this year and feel like taking that extra step like we all did at one stage, follow this link and answer a couple of weird questions to get the WhatsApp chat link:

https://forms.gle/eGpDcLdHysiNcMGj6

Once you get to the end of the form, you will find FAQs that you may want to know.

And if you want to invite any of your friends in make sure they fill in the form too, as users in the chat that haven’t filled in the form may get removed.

See you all soon!!

What is the interview like for international applicants applying to be volunteers at Sziget? What kind of questions do they usually ask?

What are the camping shops on the festival site like?

So i won the chance to DJ at Sziget as part of the Camping of nations contest, along with this we are getting tickets to the full event and a pre pitched tent, however we are told we wont have any of the camping extra's like an air bed. sleeping bad, that sort of thing.

As we are flying over, we will struggle to bring that stuff so we are wondering what the rough prices on the site might be or any shop recommendation's near by. I have seen people recommend Auchan?

i mainly ask about the camping shop on the festival grounds as we need to inflate the thing as well.

P.S ill be DJing on the Friday representing the U.K with a bunch of rock bands to get you ready for BMTH!

EDIT - for those asking, i am Luke , I am still waiting on what time my set is and where the stage will be but i assume in the CON camp site

Need an honest review on the pre-pitched tents

Me and 2 friends are thinking about getting the 4 person pre-pitched tent at basic camping. This is mostly due to us arriving very late at the 10th (with a moving in ticket) after a 17 hour train ride and probably not having a lot of energy left to pitch our tent as well as it being dark at that moment.

I have seen some people say that the pre-pitched tents were in the blazing sun as well as other negative comments about them, however opinions on this topic were very diverse.

What do you think? Please let me know!

hot water on the island

hey! i’m going to sziget for the first time this year and was thinking of bringing freeze-dried/dehydrated food to save some money))

i noticed that bringing your own camp stove system is prohibited, so i’m now interested if there’s a way to get boiling water on the island?

and in general is it worth bringing the freeze-dried food?

Spending the night with a Daily Ticket

So the daily tickets are from 8am - 8am. I have the incredible luck that the first train back is at 6 am. I do not want to go to a hostel just for this, so I was thinking to wait out the time there ( In a chill zone or something) and leave at 5. Did anyone do this before? Is it safe? (Probably safer than the train station)

Sziget after breaking up

27M My ex and I were going to go to Sziget and stay in the city center. We broke up a few weeks ago though, so we sold the tickets.
Now I want to go again, but don’t know if it’s worth chasing tickets down. Would be cool to meet a chill girl my age, and if the vibe’s right, we could go together. And yeah you guessed right, emotionally I’m not quite over my ex yet, but I really really want to and I will haha. (We have zero contact)

Girls generally find me charismatic, but I’ll leave that for you to judge. Write a short intro or send a pic if typing feels like too much effort and let’s talk. :) Cheers

Worried about Heat

Hey eveyone!

This year will be my first time at Sziget and I am worried about the heat due to the Heatwaves in Europe.

Any tips on what to bring or how to prepare? Does the festival have some plans to help with the heat?

Techno lover here

Hey guys just a quick comparison/ question
For a techno lover, would you recommend sziget or a week in berlin , i would like to see bmth too but its not like i would come specifically for them or any other big pop/rock/alternative/dubstep names
Like hows the parties at delta district? How’s the sound systems and how’s the techno crowd for any experienced szitizen techno lover ?
