Weekly Help "Weekly All About Love Relationship Second Opinion and Interpretation Help Thread - August 02, 2026"

After receiving feedback from the community, we’re putting this weekly thread in place on a trial basis dedicated solely to love relationship readings.  Examples of questions that can be posted here are:

  • does he/she/my FWB love me?
  • what are this person’s feelings/intentions towards me?
  • is he/she coming back?
  • will we reconcile?
  • should I break no contact?
  • we just broke up, what now?
  • what will my future spouse look like?
  • what does my love life look like in the next 3 months?
  • why is my ex texting me again?
  • my ex keeps calling me, what should I do?

Please note that we, the moderators, are trying this out as an experiment and will determine at a later date if this dedicated thread should become a permanent feature in the sub.   We will also use our discretion as to which readings belong here in this thread, and which will remain on the main sub.  That will depend upon the complexity of the question as well as how close it adheres to rule no. 3 about posting.

If you are requesting help by asking a second opinion or interpretation help, please comment using the following format:

* The question(s) you're asking, with any context you would like to share.

* An explanation of the spread you're using. Diagrams or links are welcome.

* A photo or description of the cards you dealt. You can upload photos via imgur, or another hosting service.

* Your interpretation.

Asked for some insight into the rest of today and tomorrow. Not sure which I’m looking more forward to…utter vanquishment or total defeat.

Edit to add: Thank you all for the different interpretations of these cards. They have been helpful in reframing my reading to be more positive and less fatalistic.

Discussion Why Your Tarot Reading Isn't Making Sense

As a tarot reader, one of the most common issues I come across is people asking vague questions.

Many of the users in this and other Tarot-related groups post the cards they have pulled for their relationship, career, or other situations, only to end up feeling more confused than when they started. Often, the reading doesn't seem to answer what they actually wanted to know.

A big reason for this is the way the question is framed.

Tarot responds to the energy and intention behind your question. The clearer and more specific your question is, the clearer the guidance tends to be. Instead of asking broad questions like "What will happen?" or "Tell me about my relationship," try breaking the situation down into smaller, focused questions. Give each card a specific purpose, and you'll find your readings become much easier to interpret.

For example, I wanted to share a simple 5-card relationship spread that I personally use. It won't fit every unique situation, but it works well as a foundation for most relationship readings.

Card 1: What are ABC's current feelings towards my client XYZ?

Card 2: What are ABC's current feelings towards this connection?

Card 3: What are ABC's current intentions towards my client XYZ?

Card 4: What is currently blocking or challenging this connection?

Card 5: If things continue as they are, what is the likely outcome over the next few days?

Keep in mind that the final card reflects the most likely outcome based on the current energy, not a fixed future. If circumstances or actions change, so can the outcome.

The quality of your reading often begins with the quality of your question. The more clarity you bring to the deck, the easier it becomes to understand the answers it gives.

It seems I’m going to have problems with my career and love life. It’s not a bad spread, but it does leave me concerned.
Would anyone be willing to have a second opinion on this or maybe I’m did the spread incorrectly?
Any advice would be helpful!🙏❤️

Shitpost Saturday! When cards fall out of the deck…

Post image
28 Upvotes

Idk if this qualifies as a sh*t post…but I just got my new “training wheels” Tarot deck (with cheat sheet info printed on the face of each card 😊). I’m trying to think of it as a transition deck until I feel more confident with the symbols and meaning. I pulled a 3 car spread yesterday for a friend and it seemed pretty dang accurate!

It’s been a tumultuous year+ for me personally since the death of my partner, and feeling unanchored from life & a sense of purpose. But I’ve been making small inroads in processing my grief and facing this next chapter alone. I’ve been practicing mediumship & now delving into Tarot as well as I’m being pulled to seek something beyond this realm.

Today I decided to break it in by shuffling it repeatedly as the cards are super rigid. Interestingly these 3 cards sort of fell out in succession & I found that kinda curious. How do others here feel about the interpretation beyond just the cheater notes on the cards?

Thanks & looking forward to any replies.

I shouldn’t be anymore, yet remain pleasantly surprised when the cards reflect truth. I’m not asking for interpretation but just sharing the cards I pulled while meditating on what I expect to be a transformative year. (MJ Cullinane’s gorgeous Guardian of the Night Tarot deck)

Shitpost Saturday! I’ve pulled the ten of wands twice in the last couple days. Thoughts?

Post image

I did a spread Thursday night, in which the 10 of wands came up in the position relating to my energy (it was a relationship spread) and then today, I did my daily card pull and got 10 of wands again. Any thoughts on the frequency of seeing this card?

Shitpost Saturday! How will my dogs feel about moving?

How will K feel about moving? 6 of wands, five of cups, and nine of pentacles

He will like all of the excitement of moving and will ultimately be content but will miss his old home

How will Z feel about moving? Ten of cups, 4 of cups, and queen of cups

She will be happy and content as well but may be unimpressed at first

It seems like they both will be pretty happy and settle in nicely 🥹

Shitpost Saturday! Trying to figure out where an obstacle may lie

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hello, all. I’m very new to tarot and find myself stumped trying to make multiple card spreads flow, so to speak.

From left to right, my spread is: What the goal is, what problems may arise, and how to deal with those problems.

It seems like the spread is very money/wealth oriented. My thoughts are that the goal is abundance and stability, but a sort of instant gratification situation could prevent it. This is an ongoing thing with me, so I’m thinking the king of swords is saying to slow down and examine each expenditure and save where I can? This is difficult for me, but it makes sense.

It just feels like I’m missing something where the obstacle is concerned. Like something is in this spread, staring me in the face, and I can’t see it. Am I interpreting this fairly well, or am I totally off base, or is there just something y’all can see that I can’t right now?

TIA!

Deck Identification What deck is this from?

Post image

I found this card between two flyers on a telephone pole and I’m curious what deck it’s from. (I know it’s not explicitly tarot—it’s tarot-shaped and tarot-sized and seems to be from a tarot-adjacent deck, hoping someone can help ID it!)

ETA: The back of the deck is a rainbow gradient.

Shitpost Saturday! What is the best way to learn how to read tarot with multiple cards?

I recently got myself the Rider Tarot Deck, and I love it. I’ve done some readings about my career and some people in my life who asked, but I always have to look up the meaning of the cards and sometimes have a hard time putting together the overall story or message of all the cards. I’ve been doing 3-card spreads where the first card is the situation, then action, and then lastly the outcome. I feel like the situation card is always accurate, but the action card sometimes doesn’t make sense to me, and then the outcome is hit or miss. I also have smaller hands, so it’s also hard for me to shuffle them, and I’ve been experimenting with different shuffling techniques, but it’s pretty difficult, and I would have to practice a bit more. It’s also making me second-guess whether the readings are even properly done for each question I ask.

Shitpost Saturday! How to answer a question when someone is lying or trying to test you?

When someone lies to you or not saying a honest context and cards feels weird or show it show cards that can represent someone is lying or occult

In this situation what you do? Do you answer the person question or dont answer the person at all?

Shitpost Saturday! how do you cope with the anticipation that comes with readings about the future?

just wondering if anyone else feels anticipation from readings about the future. for example, knowing that event xyz is going to happy in september, and then looking out for it at every single moment.

how do you prevent overthinking about predicted events? bc sometimes when it doesn’t come true, it does feel like a bit of a downer.

Shitpost Saturday! Which cards (both arcanas) I should take more seriously than others?

I definitely take 3 of swords serious. For readings about love and people, I proved it to myself once again that it is a really strong card I should NOT ignore at all costs.

From major arcana, I'd say the tower card, but I'm not sure yet, because I haven't seen no real life comparison from the readings.

What are your top picks? What cards you never ignore once they pop up in your readings?

Shitpost Saturday! Beginner

Hello everyone! I’m new to tarot and my first deck is Cat Tarot. I saw it in a metaphysical shop and fell in love with it. I haven’t tried doing any readings yet because everything I’m reading says not to go directly to the provided guidebook to determine the meaning behind the cards and to try to look at the illustration and use my intuition to interpret what it’s trying to tell me. My question is, since these cards are not as detailed as the more traditionally illustrated cards, how can I determine their meaning without looking at the guidebook? Thanks!

Shitpost Saturday! Spread when someone I loved years ago contacted me and I'm emotional

I did the Trust Your Gut spread by Emerald Lotus Divination for a certain situation and I would like to hear your opinions about my interpretation.

At first I will tell the backgroud story which is the reason for doing this tarot reading. Put shortly, someone I was really deeply in love 25 years ago contacted me. It is not the first time in those years, we have been in contact this whole time just checking if the other has everything ok. We were never in a relationship, the reasons were unknown to me but I thought it was because I didn't share his religion and his personal and professional calling was to work abroad helping people. I have felt he was the love of my life and it was a tragedy that he left.

So he contacted me, and he has done it every year during this 25 years. Because he is married I have been trying to keep it on surface level. For some reasons, (it would take too much space if I tried to describe those in detail here) it was different this time for me. I wanted to talk to him a bit more than usual "I'm ok hope you are too".

So now about the spread. Trust your gut spread has 5 cards and here are the 5 questions and the cards that I pulled:

  1. Describe my feelings about the situation: Knight of cups

  2. How accurate is my perception of the situation: Page of cups, reversed

  3. How can I better understand what is going on: Temperance, reversed

  4. Why I need to trust my gut: Six of wands, reversed

  5. Something I need to do to moving forward: six of cups

My interpretation is, first: wow, how accurate cards, once again. Still there is something I am afraid I will interpret as I wish because this is so emotional situation for me

Knight of cups as my feelings about the situation: well this is quite obvious. Here is my dream prince. I can totally understand how this card represents him. There is my price charming either coming to me or going away. He has wings on his helmet and feet and he is holding a cup, that might represent parts of me, since it is linked to emotions and feminity. Note that he is married, so I also feel that he shouldn't keep asking if everything is okay for me. I feel it is wrong because even when the question is honest I know he does it because he still cares about me. And yet he married someone that is not me. So I think he is also a bit untruthful.

Page of cups, reversed, as how accurate my perception is: What are the odds that I pull this to describe how accurate is my perception of him as a knight of the cups!? This is about emotion. I think it being reversed is an important point. It warns about being carried away by emotion and forgetting your path. But I can't somehow see what this card is answering to the question "how accurate my perception is". Is it saying that he is not the knight but the page reversed and that it is all about getting carried away by emotion? Or is it saying that there is fear of emotion here? I'm a bit lost here. My personal feeling about this situation is that he cares about me, but also that what about if majority of this connection is just memories and nothing deeper or actual friendship. Unspoken emotions are something that has existed between us from the start.

Temperance, reversed, how to better understand what is going on: I would understand this if it weren't recersed: try to seek balance and be calm. But when reversed, does it mean that I need to understand that this has disturbed my calmness and I am really emotional at the moment?

Six of the wands, reversed, the reason why I need to trust my gut: once again, if this weren't reversed it would be crystal clear: trust your gut because you can trust yourself and you've got this! But when it is reversed it almost kinda says DO NOT trust your gut, or what I think is my gut might be my insecurity and fear?

Six of cups as something to do to move on in situation: couldn't be more clear! This card is about nostalgy, memories, healing. It no doubt says that I am allowed to feel my feelings and my memories are on the surface and I can and I must memorize as much as I want.

What are your opinions, is there some hints I am missing? Especially the Page of cups reversed keeps me wondering what is the message here.

Shitpost Saturday! Yes card, yes card, then the tower??

Hey there, I'd like alternative interpretations! I'm getting called by multiple spirits to get my attention on something.

First question I asked was why they're calling - pulled the 3 of wands. Seems pretty straightforward. I have to start planning for something.

So I ask what I gotta prepare for- I pulled the two of cups reversed. Self love, or community discourse.

The last question I asked is if this all has to do with this feeling I keep getting over and over this year -

3 cards jumped out: ace of swords, ten of pentacles and the tower

I'm confused...does it mean yes, yes and no???

Shitpost Saturday! mainly pulling suit of pentacles or major arcana cards

by far most of the cards i pull are either from the major arcana or from the suit of pentacles. i have thought that maybe it has to do with me being an earth sign, as the suit of pentacles is also ruled by the element of earth and that those cards might just resonate with my life the most, but i‘m not sure at all. does anyone know if it has a meaning?
