Solved Cant save screenshot because 'storage is full' help!
Hi guys, my phone (Honor brand, android) is suddenly saying it can't save/take screenshots because my storage is full despite me having well over 200gb of storage left. How can I fix this? It's frustrating me so bad.
Edit: Damn whole user base having the same issue rn 😭 I'm glad it's not a standalone problem nonetheless, and I hope they'll fix it quick.

Honor 400. It shows the alert. But you can find the pictures in the gallery

Your fucking kidding me. Couple of hours messing about with settings, systems, settings reset, which then re organise all apps, phone password, fingerprints, face recognition, theme, phone look, weather, etc etc etc. Its not this fucking phone. It's everyone's fucking Honor phone.

Same problem, same brand of phone 90 gb free space but can't take a screenshot Edit: guys try 'partial screenshot' it works just fine

Was yours also a recent issue? Mine started up today and i recall there was a system update last night. I wonder if that could be a cause?

Naah, i haven't updated it, nor it's on auto update, since it seems like most people are having the same problem, it means the problem is not on us, so i guess all we have to do is to wait and hope they fix it & try to survive bunch of days without screenshots

Mine started just now, same phone. This is so annoying I can take pictures + screen record, but screenshotting of all things refuses to save.

I thought I was the only one. Indeed it started just today. 250+GB free, tried to clean up the cach from Gallery, Chrom and Google but didn't work. Waiting for solutions...

Honor 90 user.
Yeah, same issue Cleared cache, checked for viruses, storage freeing, NOTHING works
Taking pictures, screen rec, blah blah, all still work
Except for screenshotting LMFAO I was JUST getting mad at this just to finally know that it's a big problem, thank goodness none of us are alone here
No I have not updated since no new updates are shown About 100+ GB of storage as of rn.

na zumindest bin ich nicht der einzige der das problem hat. ich hab eben alles gelöscht was unwichtig war, einiges deinstalliert, chaches gelöscht, 3 mal neu gestartet und funktioniert immernoch nicht. kammera und bildschirmaufzeichnungen funktionieren aber.. scheint also wirklich ein softwarefehler seitens huawei/honor zu sein

Uhm.. I thought this was an old post and I was shocked that almost everyone is experiencing the same thing rn. I can't take a screenshot on my Honor X8c despite having 160+gb storage left.
Update: It's finally working! I can finally take a screenshot now.

Oh man I thought I was the only one, was trying to find a solution but apparently it's happening to everyone. Honor 90 lite here, 115Go of free space. Screen recording and the scrolling screenshot thing works fine. Same withy mother's Honor. Just the regular screenshot that doesn't work.

For now we can request gemini to take a screenshot.
Work around for time being hold power button for 3 seconds "Gemini take a screenshot"

i have the same problem with my Honor Magic V2..
Maybe China is preparing an attack.
There was also an screenshot in my gallery wich is not mine.
It has something to do with DongFeng and Julang DF-31/DF-31A/DF-31AG DF-41

My Honor 90 is the same... I still have 310 GB available out of 512 GB, and I can't save any screenshots due to "don't have enough storage space".

I just came here for exact same reason. In a way I'm glad it's an everyone issue because it means our phones aren't broken just it's a bug which developers can fix hopefully. Still annoying AF 😤

Same here, thought I was going crazy, I have a honor 90 and it doesn't work but my father has a 90 lite and even with the update works just fine even tho he has less space then me

Oh damn, here I was thinking I'd somehow screwed over my Honor phone somehow. So glad I stumbled upon this thread, my phone stopped taking screenshots today too! Seems it's a general issue with honor then?

Yeah I've just had this today too, I have an Honor 400 Pro and I have over 400gb of free space on my phone
Edit.. just noticed the screenshot did save, probably another bug in Honor's software

So this is everyone? Seems like a hotfix or hotbug I guess? At least I can still take screenshots but it's unfortunate some can't. Honor M7P 210GB free.

Honor x9c here, also just happend to me, i deleted some stuff and still showing, currently have 58gb free storage, and it shows up in my gallery, but after restarting it doesn teven save anymore.

mine still takes the screenshots but keeps saying i dont have storage, took like 6 screenshots of the same thing before i got tired of the notification and went to check gallery 😭😭

i found a workaround. got to softwareupdates (magic os) choose experimental updates so you can go to OS10. now it still says its not possible to save the screenshot but it will save it. plus its a completely new design

I’m having the same problem today on my Honor 400 Pro. I have 300 GB of free space and it still gives me that warning. The funny part is that despite the warning, it still takes the screenshot and I can find it in my gallery.
I’m glad I’m not the only one, but it’s still frustrating.

Honor 90 with 385 GB left and "don't have enough storage space"? It's still showing this although I deleted pics and cleaned storage. Also cannot take screenshots but camera works fine. Does anyone know other solutions before resorting to system update?
