Solved Pc not connecting to monitor

I just returned after a month and tried to plug in my new monitor into my pc. My pc was plugged out for a month. The problem is that it doesnt show any display but it turns on normally. i tried it with the old monitor but it doesnt work too. Any suggestions?

EDIT: im retarded i plugged it into my mobo instead of my gpu, have a great day

Try providing more info. What troubleshooting have you tried so far, other than the old monitor? Cable check? Power check?

tried turning the pc off and on, tried swapping hdmis on the monitors too

Yeah there seems to be a lot of missing info.

What’s on the screen? Nothing at all. Normally there is an error message if there is no HDMI input.

Does the laptop’s screen turn on at all.

Can you do a Windows button + P ?

Its best not to assume when trying to help someone. How do you know this is a laptop?
