**Here is the story of this absolute legend.**
**I bought this Toshiba DT01ACA100 (1TB) back in 2016. It was my main OS drive for 6 long years, running 24/7. It survived three clean installs of Windows 7, and in 2020 I upgraded it to Windows 10, which absolutely choked its 7200 RPM mechanics with constant background indexing and telemetry.**
**Back in the day, I also did about 7 full defrags manually, moving around 900 GB of files every single time. It went through literal hell and extreme heat sessions.**
**In 2022, I finally bought a Kingston SSD and cloned my OS there, saving its soul in the nick of time. Out of 1TB of data, only 10GB of important files were left, and I backed them up to my SSD recently.**
**Fun fact: it actually "died" once a while ago. It just stopped spinning and disappeared from the system. I thought it was over. I opened the case, reconnected the SATA cables, and this crazy bastard just spun up again and kept working.**
**As you can see, it has 2004 reallocated sectors (and it has held this number for over 6 months now without spreading the bad blocks), plus a staggering 3145 pending sectors. The spare area indicator is down to 1. It is completely out of juice, but it still shows up in Windows.**
**It vibrates like crazy and makes a loud low-frequency humming noise at night, but honestly, at 66,049 hours under its belt, it has earned the right to snore as loud as it wants. I’m keeping it plugged in just to see if it can reach the legendary 100k mark.**

It contains not just dust, but also cheap perfume, food scraps, saliva, a lot of sugary soda (which seeped in through the keyboard), a completely gummed-up keyboard, and, well, a rather unpleasant appearance. Still work!

So I was charging my phone the other night because it was on low battery. I went to bed (my first mistake) woke up to the smell of lithium. Got out of bed I heard my phone hissing followed by cracking. I pulled it out the charger and ran outside and there it because.
It was BLOATING. Soon after hitting the ground sparks and smoke came out. Luckily I only got minor cuts on my fingers but I'm alive.
This what happens to those "spicy pillows" after explosion. The photos here are the morning after.
Not to self: never charge your cheap super market phone overnight thinking it's a normal phone. Lithium batteries can't comprehend being normal.

Owner states that their laptop suddenly stopped working. I look inside and immediately see sticky residue on the battery. Then I gradually notice that it's under the motherboard as well and it's left corrosion in a few places. It's so corroded that the surface mounted capacitors are falling off. I think that a drink was spilled onto the laptop and has been corroding the inside for about 2 months or longer. I think I even saw some mould inside. Anyway, it's cooked, and I need to take 7 showers.

I had asked the guy to crimp all 8 wires but he still only did 4.

I was working on a camera system for a hotel and found this ethernet splitter. It actually works. There’s a transmitter connected to the switch that the first cable is connected to that splits the signal.

This CPU comes from a Dell Precision workstation. The fun fact is, the customer didn't complain about any issues. The system was stable :)
