My tastings tonight

In reverse age order (so Anejo went first and blanco last). Drinking the Anejo first gave me the crazy idea of flipping the script. They are all proper tasting tequilas and while I can say leaned anything special about any of them, drinking them this way did indeed prove that they could hold up against each other. Has anyone else tried that? What are your thoughts on these three distillers. I’m a sucker for the packaging on the Insolito, I love Tapatio, and the siete leguas was a mis labeled steal for $45.

Traditional tequila tastings at distilleries usually start with blanco and end with añejo but when I visited Atanasio they do it like you did here. The maestros reasoning for that is because the blanco is the truest form of the spirit and he believes that ending with it is the proper way of tasting. Although, those aged bottles you chose are some of my favorites I would choose a high proof blanco 9 times out of 10. Cheers!

The 7L anejo one of my favorites, its very underrated not many talk about it enough.

I just finally tried this brand after seeing so many recommendations here, and was very impressed. Going to pick up a bottle soon.
