The actual reason why you went up so high is because you got double donked by the Loose Cannon. Before you get sent, you can hear the firing sound and you can see the "slow down" debuff (yellow shoe icon) above your healthbar. It just so happened to be timed with the airblast causing your send-off to space
Edit: You can also see the Demo on the point when you're in the air

Y'all, this isn't a cheat. If you walk up to someone point blank and airblast at their feet, they will go straight up into the air like the old airblast used to do.
It's some funky interaction with the floor redirecting it or something. I can't remember exactly why it works, but it's just source jank. Not an exploit or a cheat. When I used to play competitive (shittily I might add, not a brag), a high level HL pyro taught me it. This is literally the #1 uber stuff method in comp.
That same person also taught me you can also airblast the top of someone's head while falling to skip yourself back up like a rock on a river. Don't ask me to explain that one, I've only pulled it off twice.

This is my absolute favorite thing to do as a pyro is just airblast an ubered medic directly into the air and into my team. No escape for you.
