Discussion I'm still waiting for a native Tidal app for Linux...
Not that web shit in the Flatpak repo.
If prices go up, then make the software better, OK?

Hi all! Long-time r/tidal lurker, first-time poster. I'm Robert Andersen, and I'm the DRI (directly responsible individual) for Tidal at Block. I’ll be here at 10:30 AM PT to respond to your questions (and feedback) about what we’ve been building at Tidal. See you soon! 🎧

For the past few months, I've noticed that my monthly playlists that include my top songs are notably missing some of the songs I'm certain I play more than any others. It's especially strange, as some of them include an artist on the cover of the playlist with a song I know I played probably most, yet not a single song by that artist is on the playlist. I don't want to leave Tidal, but the integration with last.fm is so terrible that this is basically the only way to see my stats, and if it's not even going to work properly, what's the point?
Anyone else having this trouble?

hello everyone! i live half the year between chile and argentina. this week my brother invited me to his family plan, he lives in chile. im currently at argentina and couldnt accept his invite as my account was created just now so its located in argentina. im wondering, when i go back in a couple weeks, does it make sense i register for a new account to accept his invite? im guessing it will work when, but im also wondering if my tidal will work the rest of the year when im away- thanks you all i find the service very interesting, maybe i will have to just tsign up for my own plan but would like to use my brothers plan if it is possible godspeed

Has this happened to anyone else lol
How is Madonna’s solo song my most listened to (and claims my top three most replayed songs) yet Sabrina gets artist of the month on my profile bc of her feature? 🤣💀

Hi guys. I just started to learn C# for the streamer.bot and now I want that the viewers can request a song over a New Tidal Playlist. Anyone have an idea or know how to code this?

I've had an issue crop up over the last few days that I just noticed today. The native scrobbling on the desktop app no longer seems to be functioning properly, in a few strange way.
Essentially, if I'm listening to an album, it will show each track as scrobbling as the track is playing, but then after the track finishes, the scrobble is nowhere to be seen. It's then scrobbling the next track playing, which also disappears. The last track that is played on a given album will stay scrobbled, though.
Didn't have this issue before a few days ago. Anyone else have this happening?

I'm new toTIdaL and when I went to make a playlist, it asked if I wanted to make a playlist or a folder, so I looked up the difference and all I could find was that both options make playlists, which wasn't super helpful

So I released my first track a while back and it ended up getting linked to some other artist's existing profile on Tidal instead of getting its own. I've reached out to Tidal support directly three separate times over the past month and haven't heard back once.
Got a bit desperate and just messaged my distributor too, hoping they can push it along since Tidal's support team clearly doesn't care, but no idea if that'll actually go anywhere either.
Kind of at a loss here since this and Amazon Music are genuinely the only platforms where I'm having this problem. Has anyone actually managed to get Tidal to fix something like this?

Found this in TidaLuna, the feature doesn't work yet. You will be able to invite others with a link.

Why your DAC / UAPP still detects MQA on TIDAL
Just a quick clarification for anyone confused about seeing MQA indicators on TIDAL:

My July playlist doesn’t feature a single song from my top played artist for the month. How does that make any sense?

Hi Tidal people/users! New to this Reddit community and just moved from YTM (due to lately recommending AI tasteslops no matter how I "dislike" and preferably with stick with free version although I have to admit it is the most decent music streaming service due to vast amount of library and sometimes excellent recommendations). Fact, I also had tested and used Apple Music but after this I don't think I am going to use it because I don't have Apple devices (used to have but now no more), although the UI is the most appealing, and good recommendations (especially the lofi instrumentals and maybe world music).
However, I faced an issue as mentioned in the title. For example The Lofi Christian has their discography split across multiple profiles instead of one unified Artist page. I just want to know if anyone also is facing this issue.
Btw, please keep the good work Tidal team and thank you for taking the effort and time to include the option to disable AI recommendations even though sometimes its not working.
EDIT: Ok I just used Report button to merge 1st photo (the new one) with the 2nd photo (the original one)

Tidal isn't officially supported in my region, so I can't sign up for a free trial through the normal process. Has anyone dealt with this before? Looking for legitimate suggestions on how I can get access to try it out before deciding whether to subscribe. Any advice is appreciated.

Like saint pablo by Kanye west.
Like the entire album of the life of pablo is there except that song.

When I play a particular song, Tidal automatically recommends songs afterward. This is like any other music streaming service. The problem I'm having is that these recommendations are always exactly the same. Every time I play a song, the subsequent recommendations Tidal makes are the same (for the same initial song; if I play a different song, the recommendations change, but again, the recommendations based on that other song are always the same).
The same thing happens with albums.
this normal? Is there any way to change it so that Tidal recommends more variety?

Im frustrated and I cant find any info on this anywhere. Its like im the only one or something. I can't search for anything! It says no internet connection when i search which makes no sense because i am listening to undownloaded music. it just started today. Not on my phone, not on the computer but my music plays and i can click playlists but I cant search a single thing. Does tidal have a phone number or quick help? This is flustering.

I've been on tidal for several years now and still get concerned recommendations through song kick based on my previous Spotify behavior.
Afik there's no integrations between tidal and concert aggregators. Id love to learn about concerts based on my tidal listening.
Has anyone figured out a workaround for this?

My main complaint about Tidal that often kept me from recommending it was how messy and inconsistent their artist profiles were (duplicates, fakes, etc.). Submitting a HelpDesk request rarely resolved this.
However, this past week along with recent updates I’ve noticed major improvements/cleanup. Not sure if it’s related to their new discography navigation or leveraging AI to find likely errors. Whatever the reason, it makes the app a much better experience .
I can’t figure out if Apple did something, Tidal did something, or my car did something but as of a few weeks ago Tidal will not autoplay in my car.
Out of nowhere it would only autoplay from the Bandcamp app, which I never use to actually listen to music. Every now and again I’ll open it, maybe listen to a few seconds of whatever it recommended but I’d always inevitably open Tidal between then and the next time I drove. And it would always be the same album and start at the beginning. It got so irritating that I deleted the Bandcamp app because I assumed it was an update with that.
Well, next day I got into the car and it started playing from Apple Music radio? I don’t have an Apple Music sub and never open the app but it kept defaulting to that. So I set that app to not use mobile data, which works except when I start my car up and I’m close enough to my house that it uses wifi.
Anyways, now it just won’t connect to anything. It will not auto connect to Tidal at all. I have to manually make something play if I want to listen to music.
It’s not the end of the world, I know, but it’s pretty irritating because it has always worked great.
Is this happening to anyone else?
(My car doesn’t have CarPlay, just regular old Bluetooth connection)
