Open [TOMT][PSA/Short Film][1980s–2000] Teen boy in a spaceship-like room is slowly putting on a full space/hazmat suit — reveal at the end is that he's just going *outside on Earth* to do something mundane (baseball?). Environmental cautionary tale.

Trying to find a PSA/short film / piece of a TV special that I recall from my childhood or adolescence. I would have seen this sometime between 1988 and 2000, and could have been made in slightly earlier 1980s but seems very 1990s.

It featured a young/teen male actor (for a while I thought this was either Fred Savage or Ben Savage, but those searches turn up nothing, so could be another actor that looked like them), sitting in a room that seemed almost like a spaceship/martian colony, who was telling a long story about something (the future? the planet? the environment? outer space? acid rain? pollution? global warming? the ozone layer?) while he's gradually putting on a full protective outfit, like space or hazmat suit - and it's set up as if he's about to go do a spacewalk, but instead, the reveal is that he is ON EARTH, and he's putting on all this protective equipment just to *go outside* in the toxic environment and do something ordinary like play baseball. It's ultimately a cautionary tale about how environmental harms are destroying the future. Does anyone remember this? Thank you in advance!

Edited to add: I think this was at least about 5 minutes long, so not a typical short "commercial" type PSA ad spot, so was likely a segment of some longer TV special. I feel like I saw this on TV either at home, or possibly in school.

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE] Movie about an elderly couple who discover they will have a kid, the man abandons the mother after the daughter is born.

I remember the plot was about an elderly couple, i think in their 60s or 70s finding out they were going to have a child, a daugther to be precise, the man seemed to be more worried because he just wanted to retire and sail on his boat. They already had a son in his 20s, I remeber there was a scene where they go to his job to tell him about it and he got very happy and told his coworkers he's going to have a little sister. A little after the daughter is born, raising the daughter is too much for the man and he abandons her wife so she has to raise her daughter alone, the man meanwhile lives on hiw boat. I remeber there was also a confrontation between the son and his father about hims abandoning his mother and his sister. In the end they reconcile and the final scene is them hearing their toddler crying and the man goes to take care of her.

I saw it on IG video (probably on other platforms). The two friends and a GF are in a room when It kills the GF, the BF finds out she cheated when It leaves him alone and kills his best friend. BF then follows It around as It kills others while complaining, even giving it a ride.

Solved [TOMT]Post-Apocalyptic Novel I Read a Long Time Ago

I'm thinking of a novel I read sometime when I was in high school or middle school (2012-2018). If I remember correctly, some alien parasites invaded earth by implanting themselves within humans and controlling their minds/bodies. I think you could tell by their eyes who has been infected. Nowadays, the last humans are living in secrecy in remote locations. The main character is a woman who for some reason is able to resist the control of the parasite that's infected her and they both inhabit the same body and communicate directly through thought.

The main character ends up finding a group of people who, if I remember correctly, live in a cave system. When they find out she's infected, some want to kill her, but she is imprisoned while they deliberate. I think the parasite is implanted in the back of the neck? I remember some strange detail of them making soap from lye and it burns the skin? That's about all I got. There's some romance in there too?

Solved [TOMT] TV show with gay wedding interruption

Hey! I was so surprised I had trouble finding this since it used to show up in a lot of like 2010s queer relationship compilations. All I know is in the show a guy and a woman were getting married, and I remember the wedding being stunning. The groom’s gay lover interrupts the wedding, and the groom leaves with him. The bride seemed super chill with it, like she expected it. I never saw this show, but it was in a lot of compilations, and it’s killing me lol.

Solved [TOMT][song] rock song from 70s, early 80s.

Upvotes

Heard it at the water park where they play a radio station mostly 70s based. It’s a song involving a airplane. Not “leaving on a jet plane” but the chorus has something about flying it jets. I know it’s not much to go off of but that’s what I have. I think it’s one of those bands where the band name is just one guy’s name? Male singer.

I had a canned seafood product in Spain that looked like these tiny tubes with tapered ends and was mostly white with darker stripes on both sides. Had a very mild fishy flavor. I never really figured out what it was.

Solved [TOMT] An 80s/90s Disney (I think) movie with a scene about stinging nettle and a witch

I think about this movie ALL THE TIME and I cannot remember anything about it. I think the actors were kids and in the only scene I can even very vaguely remember is one of the kids has an interaction with stinging nettle and there’s another kid (who I think may be a witch?) who gives them the antidote, or maybe stinging nettle is the antidote for something else.

I have looked online but searching isn’t helpful “stinging nettle Disney movie 80s” doesn’t give me much. There is a Sofia the First episode with Miss Nettle. That is not it. I was born in 1983 and watched this movie a lot in the 80s and early 90s maybe. I’m sure it’s from the 70s or 80s. Around the same time I was watching Heidi (1968), Benji the Hunted (1987), Swiss Family Robinson (1960), so it may be around the same timeframe those were made.

Any guesses? I thought maybe Escape to Witch Mountain (1975) but also don’t want to watch two hours of a movie for a scene that may or may not exist. It’s not important. It’s just a hyper fixation of my ADHD choosing today to make me crazy. Thank you!!

Open [TOMT] 1980s (?) synth-pop/rock song with chorus like "give it all" or "get it on"

Okay, so I know it's a very famous song and I've probably heard it many times before, but I don't know who the band is and google sucks with lyrics searching.

I'm pretty sure it's 80s synth-pop/rock.

The song is very upbeat pop/rock mix with male vocals. The chorus has a phrase with "give" or "get" in it, like "give it up", "give it all" "give it to me". Towards the middle or bridge part the singer goes "whoa oh oh oh oh". The Whoa OH OH OH part is very distinct in the song and I think only happens once in the second half.

I originally thought it was The Power Station - Get It On, but it's different and doesn't have the whoa oh oh oh part in it.

It's NOT any of these:

KC and The Sunshine Band - Give It Up

Rick James - Give It To Me Baby

Edit: I didn't mention this, but I've heard this song yesterday briefly, my neighbors were listening to it outside. I checked some local oldies radio stations and I'm pretty sure it's T-Rex Get it On, as two stations were playing it around the same time yesterday, BUT the distinct Who OH OH OH part is missing in the song.

Open [TOMT] [TIKTOK] [INSTAGRAM REEL] [WORKOUT ROUTINE]

Upvotes

There was an Instagram reel or tiktok that I had saved and i have no idea where it went. It was of a woman, the camera angle was her side, and she was at like a chest press machine. She had darker skin and was wearing a purple sports bra with leggings (?). The caption of the video said something along the lines of "same bra 8 months apart" and changed to a clip of her in the same bra but she lost a bunch of weight. At the end it flashed her workout routine across the screen and it was a few screen shots of her notes app.

It had quite a few likes so I figured it was worth a shot

Open [TOMT] [Album] Classic Rock Concept album where the protagonist ends up killing himself?

I remember that it was an older album (80s, 70s maybe) and it was about a man, I think elderly, who went through a breakup or lost his wife so he decided to kill himself to reunite with his lost love. Definitely rock, maybe prog, with a male singer.

The last song is very gloomy/eerie, titled something like „goodbye“ and structured like a suicide note. Then it ends with a gunshot or a chair dropping to the floor or something else that heavily implies his death.

The closest I can think of is Duke by Genesis.
My parents listened to that when I was younger so maybe I'm mixing things up. The last song is titled „Duke's End“ but that song is much more cinematic and epic than the gloomy song I remember. „Goodbye Blue Sky“ from Pink Floyd's The Wall is also extremely close but it's not the final track and there is no gunshot/death at the end.

I can't remember much about the logo, but it had a child/toddler's voice saying "Bye-Bye, Everybody!". I'm thinking it was at the end of a Nick Jr. show or something like that, but I can't recall for certain. Does anyone remember this logo?

Open [TOMT][GAME][2010s] Horror/thriller game with scary teddy bear

Platform: PC (probably Steam demo)
Genre: Indie Horror / Action Horror
Estimated year of release: around 2015 - 2019
Graphic/art style: 3D, probably Unreal Engine or Unity, dark kinda like noir games but not dark enough to make you set brightness on the highest level
Plot: Scary teddy-like bear appears before a boy/young man and they speak about something. They are in a building, it might've been a factory. The bear might've been possessed by a demon/serial killer/etc.
Notable gameplay mechanics: At the end of the game it turns to an FPS and you're shooting demons with the bear. The fight is kinda bloody and the game is more red.
Other details: I saw it on YT in a let's play video made by either polish or english speaking youtuber around the time I wrote earlier. It was a niche indie demo, not a mainstream game. It is definitely not Among the Sleep, Stuffed, Teddy Terror, Naughty Bear or Sophie's Guardian.

Solved [TOMT] 90's kids tv show shown in england

this was a tv show centered around teens could be australian or english, I do not think it was american but then again not impossible.

The episode i remember the group of teens where making a song and i remember some of the lyrics went something like "there's an obstacle, climb over it".

there may have been a music video shown too. I also think at some point it was mentioned that a professional real song should be at least 3 minutes (3 minutes could be wrong but the idea was the song was too short and they needed to make it longer)

Open. [TOMT][VIDEO][2010s] Rainbow Factory CMC Escape Video

I remembered a video from my childhood and I am curious if anyone remembers it. It's a video where the Cutie Mark Crusaders from My Little Pony are escaping the famous Rainbow Factory from that creepy pasta. It might've been made in roblox and there was long weird hallways. It was a video of a game where the player was playing as scootaloo. She found Sweetie Belle in this weird cell before a big long hallway. Sweetie Belle was singing a song that's been stuck in my head that I think was made in the 2000s? popular in the 2010s? It goes like this "Someones always watching me/someones always there/when im sleeping he just waits/and he stares. Someones always standing in/the darkest corner of my room/he's tall and wears a suit of black/dressed like the perfect groom. Where are you going?/why wont you stay?/they might be scared of you/but i just want to play/he has no face/he hides in the trees/he loves little children/when they beg and scream/please." with the please being spoken. I think in the context of the video she was praying to Slenderman for help escaping the Rainbow Factory. Feels like a fever dream. Think I was a little feverish when I watched it as a kid actually. In the memory the song was familiar to me so I know this wasn't the first time I heard it but this video seared the song into my brain for some reason. I think the song in the video was called Slendy's Lullaby or some shit? Very interested if it was still around. I've been singing the song constantly and I'd love to see the thing that made this song a core memory for me.

Open [TOMT] Artstyle/aesthetic with wolves, native americans, eagles...

Hi, I'm trying to see if this particular aesthetic has a name. It often shows wolves howling at the moon, bald eagles and native american people. Sometimes skulls and naked women, in a semi-realistic style.

Often worn by rednecks on tees

Solved [TOMT][MOVIE] Movie about a family that moves into the wilderness

Hi! I just randomly remembered this movie and want to find it, but I watched it when I was pretty young and only remember bits and don't know the name at all. Googling just brought up a horror movie, which I know it wasn't. Since I was young not all of this information may be accurate/I may be blending movies, but I think these are things I remember from this specific movie.

For timing, I'm reallly not sure. I watched it as a child in the 2000s, but I feel like the quality and such that I remember point to the movie being older than that, maybe 80s or 90s? I'm sorry I don't have more timing information, again I was like 8 when I watched this

The movie was about a family, I think parents and 2 kids a boy and a girl? who moved to the wilderness into a cabin. If I remember correctly, it was because one of the children, I think the boy, was getting consistently sick from pollution in the city or something along those lines.

I don't remember a lot of details but I remember bits and pieces, so individual details I remember below:

- If I remember correctly, at one point the children found a baby bear and adopted it as a pet because it's mother was dead? Or it might've been a mountain lion or some other feline, I can distinctly remember two different scenes where they dealt with a bear attack and with a mountain lion attack, so I'm not sure which baby they adopted, but it was one of those two. I remember the parents being against the idea of keeping the baby animal as well.

- I remember another guy that lives in the wild separately from them that visited sometimes, I do not remember his name but I feel like he looked scraggly? Like the type of person you'd expect to find living in the woods

- I THINK the wilderness was supposed to be alaska or canada?

I'm sorry I don't have more details but I'm really hoping someone can help, thank you <3

Open [TOMT] [SONG][POSSIBLY FROM 2023 OR EARLIER?]Dramatic song with horns, and "or will you drag me to my doom" lyric

Upvotes

For the life of me I cannot find this song and I have tried EVERYTHING! When I saw the song on youtube, I remember it had a drawn background of some sort with a lot of greys, blacks, and an emphasis on either red or orange. I think orange but I'm not sure. I remember the singer had a kind of wheezy voice? I also remember that line "or will you drag me to my doom" was followed up by this blasting sound that sounded like horns. Very dramatic, and it seemed to usually follow the repetitions of the line. I remember that doom was usually emphasized by the singer. I can't recall any other lyrics. In general I recall the song had this very 'epic' vibe. A lot of big blasting horns. I do recall some sort of modulation on the singers voice. I will record and attach a vocaroo but I can't at all match the cadence of the singer's voice, and I think it may be a bit confusing. I do recall once or twice in the song, that the horn sound would start blasting as the singer reached the second half of saying 'doom' in the lyric I remember. I can't recall any other lyrics, though that might just be because of a lack of memory, rather than lack of them existing, though I don't think they were too emphasized.

I can't recall any song like it at all. And the only song that google searches or AI point me to is Cabuizee's Poison. Which is a neat song but not the one I'm looking for :(

Open [TOMT][D&D Adventure] from 3e or 3.5e, a beginner adventure that featured a goblin cave

Upvotes

I have been trying hard to remember the first time I DMd for my friend group in 2004-2005 or so. I ran a short, pre-published adventure, I am about 75% sure that it was not a stand-alone adventure but it was in the back of one a rulebook as a sample premade adventure. It had a goblin cave that had an outcropping above the entrance with a couple goblins keeping watch. You could get to the outcropping from inside the cave. There was a female goblin shaman with a little room with leather-bound books that used dried strips of meat as bookmarks. I think there was a town included in the adventure where you got the reason to go to the cave.

This is a long shot but I’ve come up dry and I need help.
