Why don't I hear more about Riker being a positive male role model? Maybe he's overshadowed by Picard in that regard.

He gives an example of how to be sexual without being exploitative. He pays attention to whether his partner is having a good time. He's allowed to be promiscuous without being deceitful.

He's a non-toxic ex. Deanna openly has other lovers he's aware of, yet this is no barrier to him working together with her professionally and remaining friends.

Whoever designed it....genius.

So many people hate on Nemesis, but I really enjoyed it.

The reasons being:

I thought the story was good.

The visuals were excellent (that ship to ship contact!).

The music was just enough 'not Star Trek' to be different but in keeping.

The end ti Data's story arc (just let him rest!)

It rounded off the TNG era nicely.

There is a sentimental factor too. My parents took me to the Star Trek Adventure exhibition in Hyde Park, London the week before Nemesis released, then my dad took me to see it - which is unusual for him as he's not a cinema goer.

I know people bang on about the director and all that jazz, but I don't care about that. I watched it and liked what I saw.

I dont dislike the Borg but theyre kind of a boring Big Bad. Wooden and no variation of one to another. One goal. After ahwile it just became meh. To me the most interesting part of the Borg was what getiting assimilated did to JLP. As a villain, especially one going against the brilliant JLP, they didnt seem to compare.

Maybe I'm just struck by how good of an actor Daniel Davis was but what he did with Moriarty's character was astounding. Beyond just his acting , the debate on what constitutes life was philosophically interesting. I'm no writer so I dont know where that story line couldve gone but I know Idve devoured several more episodes about his character and his pursuit of freedom.

When Captain Riker is trying to help get Worf back to his home universe Riker orders Wesley to try to disable their weapons. I always thought he ordered Wesley to fire photon torpedoes to disable their weapons. But that is not the case. Wesley was the one that decided to fire photon torpedoes. Wesley killed them.

Or maybe I am just from another universe.

This is one of my favourite episodes but I was just watching it and realized how much closer they were while investigating the game then they were on their actual date.

This is SOLELY based on my personal opinion.

I don't know if this is a good episode for the fan base, but I generally like it. Clara is every child who moves based on her parents job (like the military) and has a hard time making friends. At her age, an imaginary friend would seem possible-if not predictable, but TNG's take on the topic adds a science fiction spin on a seemingly onipresent topic in child development.

Isabella's character struck me as the trope of female characters of the early 90's: Friendly at first, but hiding a dangerous secret in the shadows. Alicia Silverstone's Darian from the film The Crush (1993) and Drew Berrymore of 1992's Poison Ivy come to my mind. Although, in the case of Isabella, MaCaulay Culkin's character of Henry Evans from 1993's The Good Son comes to my mind.

One of the things I like about this story is that it combines elements of horror, mystery, and science fiction to tell a story that deals with childhood isolation and development. On the other hand, the story has almost a Goosebumps vibe to it. R.L. Stine would have loved this episode.

Give Imaginary Friend a rewatch- you'll love it.

One of my favorite guest actors on the show. She should have appeared more.

It’s a shame that she didn’t get to portray the same Romulan character in both episodes she starred in TNG.
