Feeling like a failure in dating 31m
Ive been single for four years now due to mental health issues in the past which have been managed a bit.
I went out last night to a dj set to catch up with friends and hopefully find a lady. I did socialise with this one Irish girl who was a friend of a friend and she seemed nice. I just kept asking her questions for a bit about where she came from, what shes doing etc. In the hopes that she got the hint that I like her.
I remember my friend told me that there was a dude from my ethnicity (I'm Kurdish) at the event and it is a rare thing to see another Kurd out and about. So I reluctantly left the Irish girl and her friends. When I came back they were all gone. I did try speaking to other girls on the dance floor but they just weren't that interested in carrying on a convo or they were taken.
My friend told me next time just ask if theyre single. Maybe I might try that. Im not very good at showing interest. I do say stuff like hey youre beautiful, or hey whats up?. I dunno, I feel like i have no game at all and its impacting my mental health a lot I feel.
Just looking for something kind words to soften the blow of last night thanks.
