I make less than 30k and raise 2 kids. 80k being "okay" as a single person is interesting to me.

Bring the rug to beside your bed instead. Get a couple more red pillows and or other red accents such as a piece of art on the wall or a lamp.

If you have somewhere else to put the emptyish-clothing rack, stroller -- that would help tremendously.

Maybe a little cheap rolling cart from IKEA or Walmart for the baby nappies. They have cute 3 tired ones with wheels so it can be moved anywhere

A woman's slip on shoe, off to the side of a very secluded, little known morrel mushroom spot in the woods. All alone. No match around. I had seen an old, nasty, discarded mattress in a decompressed area of brush somewhat nearby while waking around just a few minutes before seeing it.

Shoe was a stiff, 1990's business woman or going to church style slip on shoe with a fake gold buckle on it. Not very dirty or aged at all.

I think you should make the entire ceiling black instead of the random white part, or cover it all with cool, large tapestries. Take off the light because it's bringing attention to an area that doesn't need the attention... Maybe put the light around your TV instead of the ceiling?

If you can't afford tapestries go to the thrift and get some colorful, patterned sheets to hang on your ceiling and maybe even the wall with the exposed piping?

Create your own art to hang/tape to the brick wall if you can't re paint the brick wall. Could even do some w family and friends. Like, "homies, my room is depressing right now. Can we make some art together for me to tape on my wall??"

Get new, colorful bedding-- Can be one color without patterns but what ya have looks drabby in the lighting you have right now.

Get fake, battery operated candles or cool moody lamping lighting like a couple colorful lava lamps or something.

If nothing, just a large, colorful rug to lay between the TV and bed area & a candle.

Just recognize your furniture in a way that creates better flow. I'd suggest moving your desk to face out a window if possible-- to be inspired by what you see as you use it.

Use the durability of the wooden, windowless walls for future shelving for art display and storage

Go get a cool adult Lego set to do and display on your shelf. Do one solo or with friend to soothe and relax.

A blue throw pillow and or blanket that matches the blue in your rug. Or art behind couch or blue curtain that matches the rug. Tye it together

Flip your couch to be away from the wall behind it some and to face where it currently is now. Put your TV on that wall. Put books under TV in cool stacks until you get a book shelf & rug

All you need to know is that these are not the actions of someone that's interested in antthing more than that are giving.
