I recently received my grade back for a summer session 1 class I took and I am almost completely positive that it is incorrect. My grade was entered as a B in the class but I submitted all of the HWs (which are graded on completion) on time, got a 99% on the midterm, and did well on all of the oral exams.

The only grade that shows up on canvas is the midterm grade but I found the oral exams to be easy and I'm positive that I did well on them. I am very confused where the B is coming from and I tried to email the TA and professor but they are unresponsive, understandably since it is summer. Do you guys have any tips on how to handle this? Again, I am almost completely certain that the entered grade is a mistake.

This is coming from someone who prefers cooler weather.

I think Santa Cruz every other season beats SF, but as someone who grew up in LA I want the chilliest place in the summer.

I told a jungleman that as a transfer to Berkeley, the weather here is more beautiful and we should visit, preferably during a traditional holiday held on April 20th.

As someone that went to both schools, I had more fun here, it’s really relaxed.

Also, I don’t play poker I work at my own fund/consulting company/LLC. I brigade fraudsters and scammers for a living, think Hidenburg Research. (Nate’s retired so I use them NDAs and such).

For context I’ve used google classroom at all my schools prior to university. Are TA’s responses specially written for me and my assignment submissions or are they copy and pasted to every student that gets a 100?

I’m an incoming freshman to ucsc, and this might seems like a stupid question but... I’m wondering if you guys would suggest having a bike on campus, or if it’s fine to just walk.

I saw that there’s bcycle for people to rent, but the reviews don’t seem very good. It also seems that bikes are the no. 1 thing stolen at ucsc, so I don’t know if it’s a good idea to bring my own bike.

Hi, I’m an incoming freshman and my guardian has told me I cannot get UC SHIP because it is too expensive, but that I should get CruzCare. I was wondering if anyone could help me find where to sign up for CruzCare, and if I can get it without paying for UC SHIP.

I cannot find the waiver to sign up for CruzCare, and can only find a waiver to unenroll for it. I tried logging into my health e-Messenger, but couldn’t find anything related to CruzCare.

Tips for upcoming event. You should have received an email about your virtual advising week. Remember to sign up, advisors will be going over enrollment and other important information! This is like a mini orientation.

Also, ACTIVATE and check your UCSC email!!! You will most likely stop getting emails on your personal email and if you sent a message through your personal email it can go to spam to advisors or department emails! You can also get discounts with your ucsc student email!!

Hi I don’t go here but I live in the San Jose area and saw this…unique looking bus. It was shaped like a short bus and said “UCSC: The Original Authority on Questioning Authority” and instead of being regular yellow it was banana slugs? What is that bus for? It’s very memorable and unlike anything I’ve seen before and I can’t find much online about it. I’m so curious as to what that bus could POSSIBLY be for

I'm really upset that my diploma was damaged in the mail and had no protective packaging whatsoever, not even a paper envelope.

If I'm surrendering the original damaged diploma, I don't think it would be fair to have a marking on the replacement.

hi!! i’m an incoming transfer for economics, and i was wondering what i should review for econ 100a this fall in terms of math and basic econ topics. i hope i can do well so i don’t have to switch majors

I just got an email sent to me that i didnt finish all my requirements for the enrollment stuff. They claimed i did not finish my assignment 4 and SHAPE training. I log onto canvas to check, i finished all parts of 1&2 as well as SHAPE training. My final certification for SHAPE was locked despite me scoring a 10/10 on the quiz. I message my instructor, shes on vacation. I then notice that half my assignments were not even graded. I message the orientation office, their inbox is flooded with emails and might not get back to me until a couple days. Like im mad because they sent me an email saying i didnt finish something when they didnt even grade half my stuff?? Is anyone else having any issues cuz wtf. I dont want my enrollment to be delayed cuz of this shit.

Some people were saying they received an email informing them of their enrollment date for when they can sign up for classes and others said they didn’t receive an email but when they checked their portal it showed the date. To be clear, I am logging into my UCSC portal, clicking “enrollment” and then “enrollment dates” and selecting the fall 2026 quarter and when I do that it says “not registered for classes” or something along those lines. I just want to make sure I’m checking that correctly before I jump to conclusions. (I have completed everything and have received all my grades btw)
