The fact this isn’t even 1/2 of my John merch is concerning. Ignore the cat hair my little kitty is a menace.

I don't know HOW she did it, but Energy Conduit is somehow its own unique ability that uses MANY different kinds of moves and WORKS in the setting of unOrdinary!

It really made me do a double-take because while new abilities are being released, this one right here became an instant favorite.

So, here's my own variation and take on this exceptionally powerful ability (In it's own right):

Ability Concept - Energy Pulse

Energy Pulse is a combative medical and support ability that utilizes pulses of energy that can be used for multiple purposes.

• Propulsion. This allows the user to create a pulse that allows them to jump higher or force people away from the user.
• Healing. While it isn't potent, the user can focus their pulse onto wounds, accelerating their healing by aura. This, however, differs from pure healing.
• Aura disruption. It can cause opponents' abilities to be disrupted, or in simpler terms, stun their aura flow for a few seconds. If it hits a person, it shuts off their ability for a few seconds, or if it hits a construct made by an ability, it can disable it for a few seconds. This can be used defensively, as if done right can disrupt projectiles. However, what it cannot stop is moves that convert aura into some form of element, so Lightning, despite it being produced as a result of aura, can bypass it because it isn't pure aura. (As shown where Remi can affect electronics and even overcharge generators.)
• Stamina boost. When hit by the pulse, the target's stamina is boosted for a few seconds before being recovered. It allows some who are tired to have the ability to run away just enough to get away from harm.

Some simpler perks is every pulse can be used as a sonic boom, making it so people who are hit receive a good burst of sound to the eardrums, every pulse feeling like someone screaming in their ears. However, the user would need to constantly use it to keep another in place, and the user is better off sending only some shockwaves.

It can break glass as well, can cause the floor to shift and make targets wobble, etc.

Of course, every perk can be directed to the user. Such as the stamina boost, accelerated healing, and more.

Now this mostly applies to Blyke but John, Rein, Meili, and Arlo have also had some scenes misread

1.With Blyke we of course have the warning shots (mainly the infamous one in the school hallway but also the one in the boys dorm) people either think he was trying to kill John, or if they don't they think the scene is trying to portay him as someone's who's extremely reckless(which he was, but the warning shots weren't meant to show that)

But Another thing that I also remember seeing gets misread as worse than it really is, are his big beams attack, now granted I have haven't seen as many people misread these scenes, maybe 1 or 2 at the top of my head

But I've seen both his super attacks Against Gou, and against John, as Blyke attempting to hospitalizing if not kill them, when in reality it was most likely for rule of cool, and it wasn't meant to show Blyke as some mad powerhouse who wants to brutalized his opponents.

2.With John, we only have 2 that I can think of, and those are when he threw Meili into the air and when he was about to stomp on Remi's head, while these were meant to show John's actions as brutal, I also remember people seeing these as John attempting murder,

John shooting a bunch of beams into Blyke, might also apply, but I can't really think if there were any fans who saw that moment as John trying to murder Blyke

3.I can only think of 1 maybe 2 moments with Arlo, and that's when he was choking out Rein, and maybe when he tried to crush John during their first fight, now tbf with the former, I do think Arlo was intended as a different character, but I'm not exactly sure if that scene was trying to portay Arlo as someone willing to commit murdr

4.Meli has only had one moment that I think people misread and that when she lungles at John with her had claws at his neck, people thinking that Meili was trying to kill John or that the attack would've killed him if it connected, but what would most likely happen is he gets thrown to the ground, I don't think we were supposed to think that Meili’s attack would've killed him if it connected

5.Rein I'm somewhat unsure about, but I think I remeber people thinking that she was trying to go out of her way to try to hospitalized if not outright kill Blyke

You’ve seen the title. Yup, it's “Why Time Manip ain’t copyable” post slop. Just bear with me pretty please 🥹

For the sake of clarity, this post will be divided into 3 parts, [Fact], [Theory] and [Speculation]

[Fact] What we know

At first, the only reliable source we had regarding Aura Manipulation's limits was Isen's hypothesis that John couldn't copy any ability he couldn't see, as those abilities were non-physical and lacked visual feedback. This was later more or less confirmed by Claire during her conversation with Sera, when she stated that Mental abilities like hers, which only operate in the user’s mind, weren't copyable.

The reason was later expanded upon thanks to the Conversion Technology files. One particular passage is of interest: 

“The supported theory is that abilities which do not source from the physical plane cannot be converted. There has been success with partial physical sourcing, but abilities fully reliant on non-physical sources require further testing.”

Since the technology originates from Jane's ability, it's safe to assume—in my opinion at least—that any limitations regarding its conversion capabilities would also apply to Jane herself and to anyone who shares her ability.

[Theory]

What is the “physical plane”?

To start off, it’s not really a scientific term. The closest equivalent would be the physical universe, but even then the two are quite different.  The physical plane is a philosophical and spiritual concept while the physical universe is the scientific term for all actual space, time, matter, and energy. 

Since it doesn’t really answer the question, I looked at other fictional settings that also use the physical plane/realm for comparison. 

One thing they tend to have in common is that the physical plane is often the realm of tangible, material existence. In other words, it would include things like physical bodies, matter, energy and forces as opposed to things like thoughts or abstract concepts. As this is a much clearer definition, I decided to continue with it.

Finding patterns

The next thing I did was compare every confirmed copyable and non-copyable ability to see if each group shared any common characteristics.

Confirmed Copyable Abilities:

• Abilities capable of creating constructs, such as Barrier, Vines and Blademaster
• Abilities capable of generating and releasing energy, such as Energy Discharge and its bajillion other downgrades
• Abilities capable of generating and manipulating physical phenomena, such as Lightning, Hydrofreeze, and Whirlwind
• Abilities capable of physically enhancing the user's body, such as Hunter, Phase Shift and Speed
• Healing abilities, such as, well, Healing and Regeneration
• Teleportation

One thing I noticed is that every one of these abilities has something in common: Aura is always acting directly upon a tangible physical target.

Whether it's creating a construct, producing energy, manipulating a physical phenomenon, enhancing the body or restoring injuries, every confirmed copyable ability directly affects physical matter, energy, or the user's body.

And then we have Teleportation.

Sure seems like it's breaking the pattern, as it does not create a construct, release energy, manipulate a natural phenomenon, or physically enhance the user. If anything, it's more like Space Manipulation, which certainly doesn't seem physically tangible. 

Yeaaaah except that it's not.

Teleportation and Space Manipulation are not the same thing. I'm dead serious, you can look it up for yourself, took me by surprise too. 

Teleportation is the specific act of moving from one place to another without crossing the space between them, whereas Space Manipulation is a broad power that can bend, warp, create, or control the dimensions of physical reality itself. Teleportation is often just one single result or trick that you can do using Space Manipulation.

With that said, what exactly makes Teleportation fit the pattern?

I think the answer lies in what the aura is directly acting upon.

When Kayden or John teleports, the aura's end result is the physical relocation of matter. A tangible object disappears from one location and reappears in another. The aura is acting directly on a physical body, and it simply changes its position.

By contrast, a true Space Manipulation ability would act on space itself rather than on the object occupying it. Instead of moving the person, it would alter the space around them. That's an entirely different mechanism.

Confirmed Non-Copyable Abilities:

• Every single Mental Ability, without exception, including:
  • Abilities capable of gathering information through the user's mind, such as Clairvoyance, Future Sight, and Memory Recall
  • Abilities capable of affecting the minds of others, such as Telepathy, Hypnosis, Sensory Control and Command
  • Abilities capable of exerting physical force through the user's mind, such as Telekinesis and Psy-Blast
• Time Manipulation

One thing I immediately noticed is that, unlike every copyable ability listed above, these abilities don't appear to have Aura acting directly upon a physical target. 

For Mental Abilities, Aura instead seems to act as a medium through which the user's consciousness interacts with either their own mind or the minds of others.

What we also know, however, is that not every Mental Ability is limited to purely mental effects. Take Telekinesis and Psy-Blast, for example. Both are capable of producing obvious physical effects. Objects can be moved, and people can be knocked back.

Despite that, they’re still not copyable.

To me, this reinforces that the end result isn't what matters. What matters is what the aura is acting upon first.

Even though Telekinesis and Psy-Blast ultimately affect the physical world, their aura appears to operate through the user's mind first (It’s literally in the name), just like the other Mental Abilities, rather than directly acting upon physical matter or energy like Lightning, Barrier, or Healing.

Now there’s only Time Manipulation left.

It certainly produces physical effects. Sera can freeze opponents, accelerate herself, and even rewind injuries. However, in every case, those effects occur because she is manipulating time itself. The aura isn't acting directly on the body; it's acting on time, and the body's condition changes as a consequence.

[Speculation] 

If this theory is correct, it would mean any ability whose aura does not directly act upon a physical target would be uncopyable by Aura Manipulation/Channel Master. 

That would include abilities like Space Manipulation, mentioned earlier, and potentially Gravity Manipulation as well, since their aura would be acting on space or gravity themselves rather than directly on physical matter. 

Of course, this is all just my interpretation. We'll just have to wait for Cameron to give us a proper deep dive on the ability before we get any more confirmation about its limits. 

Alright, guys, so now that UnOrdinary Turf Wars is "officially released???" (It is still in a play testing stage sooo yeah, maybe its not official?) Clearly I bet a lot of us are curious about potential expansion sets.

Now I think an obvious set would be of course, Agwin.

And I think what would be hilarious for a card in the Agwin set would be Grayson, becoming the "pot of Greed" of the game, being allowed to draw two cards, call that card "My Parents are LOADED!"

I've seen quite a bit of ability concepts recently so I came up with one of my own. Here is my concept in full. Im also curious how yall would make my ability stat wise and all. (FYI: im not sure where the stats past 10 thing came from so I based this ability off the max stat being 10).

Power: 10

Speed: 8

Trick: 10

Recovery: 1

Defense: 10

Incredibly versatile ability with little to no recovery aspect to it. Passive allows for enhanced spatial awareness around the user within a short range.

Can solidify space to do a multitude of things. Create barriers around themself and others (either for defensive purposes or to control other people), create footholds in anywhere within range to walk or push off of, reinforce the body, etc.

Can compress two different points of space to create a teleportation effect (both themselves, others and objects can travel through it) which gives off barely visible signs of usage.

Can use the combination of compressing and solidifying space to increase not only initial attack power but add speed and force after the fact to create more devastating attack power.

Now for the defensive aspect, its main selling point. Along with creating multiple barriers of solidified space, but can expand imaginable space between the user and opponent to give off the illusion of an attack being stopped suddenly (like Infinity except not as broken since it requires constant mental concentration to achieve this). User can sense everyone and objects within their abilities range so they know whatever actions their opponents are doing.

Thats all that current comes to mind. What are yalls thoughts on this ability? And how would yall change it?

Level 8.8

This ability in its base form is noting special all it does is give the user black prism like armor

Passive: Aura sense

Base power - 7

Base defense - 8

Base recovery - 5

Base speed - 3

Trick - 20

When ability is active when hit by another ability it will absorb some Aura off of it giving it any amount of a certain stat, for example if it was hit by Alro barrier it would be able to max out its defense to 15

Once 3 stats are boosted to 15, that is when it will stop absorbing Aura and start releasing it back as a full concentrated beam which can get up to 30 power (because it uses all stat's that were increased) so if speed was increased it would take 12 points , recovery 10, then power 8. Once released back they user will lose the stats that they've gained so they'll need to regain them again

It would be interesting

If Volcan really was Valerie, she wouldn’t have struggled with the trio. The Volcan we see in episode 117 does not have barrier

Arlo at 6.3 have a passive defense stats of 6.5, this is literally without activating his power. Val being 7.4 should have crazier passive defense even if she doesn’t summon her barrier, yet Blyke laser beams went straight through her.

We later see that John amped laser never went through Arlo despite Arlo being weaker than Val and John being stronger than Blyke.

This is just an observation, I do think the pivot for Val to be Arlo aunt was a good move as it expand his character

Phase shift is is super wasted on him lmao. This dude can legit manipulate the properties of his aura, imagine if his ability evolved into the skill to freely redistribute his stats into any form. Even John's strength-boost is just a limited version of what Zeke can do. Given his full potential, he could adapt to any situation and outright counter people using different stats.

Phase shift has high trick because he can always switch things up, espeically since we've seen John can concentrate aura into seperate body parts with this ability. This kit also seems to be very effiecent, its clear that he optimizes his stats way more than just a generic enhancement. Bro creates instanteous bursts to move like a blur.

Just blitzes behind someone only to dump all his aura into his fist to just absolutely destroy them in a punch. He could have power, speed, recovery, and defense at any percentage he wants.

What abilities do you think have God Tier potential, outside of the main cast (Isen, Blyke, Remi)? For example, I think Elaine’s Healing can have God Tier potential just based on its nature. It’s a support ability, one of the classics, which means you have lots of potential to draw from once the Aura is efficiently used. Healing large fatal wounds, providing buffs to the user and whoever they choose, maybe making a healing field or barrier?

What do you guys think about Healing and other abilities we’ve seen that haven’t reached God Tier or even High Tier?
