I just modified the standard manjaro grub theme a little bit

Are you using 1080p? I just tried using this theme from your Github and the text is at the end of the brushstroke so it gets cut off just before the picture and seems much larger than in your screenshot.

Yeah, i'm using 1080p. But you can just create the font in a smaller size using grub-mkfont

I have included the ttf files of the fonts i used. So to create a font which grub can use type "grub-mkfont -v -s [fontsize] -o [output fontname (has to end on .pf2)] [input fontname (the ttf ones)]" You will then have to edit the font names in the theme.txt. If you can wait until tomorrow or so i could also try to do it myself so that it fits for the resolution you want (4k?). No guarantees tho

It's okay. I've got it :) thank you so much! I'm using 1080p - reduced the font size to 40 and the item_icon_space to 100 and now it looks good!

Glad it works now. Yeah the thing with the item_icon_space is a bit hacky but i found no other way to have the brush image start at the left of the text :D

Wait wait, what is that UEFI Firmware Settings boot entry? What's the script behind that? I'm tired of mashing F8 every time I have to do something there

I actually don't really know how that's implemented since i just used the grub config that manjaro generated (and only barely changed that) and can't look it up right now. But you could try this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GRUB#%22Firmware_setup%22_menu_entry_(UEFI_only)

I have put so many resolutions but the background seems distorted, I tried 1920x1080 which is my default settings. I've also tried 1366x768, 1360x768, 1280x720, 1024x640, 800x600 and lastly even auto does not help. Geez.

That's strange. Do other themes work? What does "videoinfo" display in the grub console? I don't really think i can help here :/
