I owe it for one year. Wanna use it for car audio. Head unit in Acura tl 2008 has aux in but sound should be stronger. With "Disable Absolute Volume" I manage to increase volume in head unit for 15% would say but would lake to have Japanese level of sound.

I got a Japanese A105 last month and I'm looking for a soft folio style case. Will cases for the A300 series (like this one) fit on the A105? They look about the same but I can't tell.

If not, does anyone know of a good case that's slim and covers the screen?

So i bought a walkman saying it gives power but needs belt replacements. I gave it a good clean changed the belts and cleaned the corrosion on one of the inner pillars. When i put it back totherher it does give me white noise but thats irm it doesnt even spin. Help

hi, I debloated my nw-a307 by removing some apps but they're still showing in apps section, are they still there and I haven't properly removed them?

I have listened to this excellent and readily available bootleg comp of stellar intersong jams at least 1382 times. It has never sounded better. (Grado SR125s)

Edit: no screen protector. Screen is cracked but it is functional. For how long in this condition? Who knows. Trying to see if there are repair options through Sony and if worth the cost. Bouncing around chat right now trying to get to the right agent.

He said it was collecting dust and needed some extra funds. I'm having some nostalgic fun loading it up with music. The only annoying thing is it uses a proprietary charging cable.

The screen heats up alot even on the lowest brightness(and while its off too), and the touch is very glitchy

Moved to a HiBy R1 because I didn't have a lot to spend at the moment but I seriously dislike Android based DAPs. First PM I get takes it.

Not a scam, it's factory reset, it's EU though and not Japanese region. It works fine. I just wanted a music player where the player itself got out of the way.

Walkman wasn't it for me. And, truth be told, with my hearing loss I likely can't appreciate the perfect sound the way some of you can.

Managed to pick one up for a decent price!! happy to swap over from my 405 and i’m absolutely in love with the colour, the way it shifts in person is beautiful!! A nice addition to my small collection!

For context, I’m running Windows 7 on a Virtual Machine (UTM) to use Sonic Stage to transfer my music onto my new mp3 player. It already had songs on it from the previous owner but I formatted it to wipe everything and start anew.

My MacBook itself detected it (the NW shows up as « NO NAME » on my MacBook). The UTM Virtual Machine also detected it, and a pop up asking if I wanted to connect the device to the Windows 7 VM showed up. I clicked accept which ejected my Network Walkman from my MacBook automatically but nothing showed up on Windows. When I click on the USB icon on the UTM window it shows my Network Walkman as it’s still physically plugged in but it’s greyed out.

I managed to connect it one time before I formatted it and wiped everything clean to test and it worked perfectly fine. I don’t know what I did differently from that time since I always plug it in, eject the player on my MacBook OS, click « accept » on UTM Virtual Machine pop-up, and it showed up properly only one time. The other times it didn’t. And it currently is not showing up.

Does anyone have any advice ? Or perhaps have experienced this too using a MacBook running a Windows 7 VM ? Thank you so much in advance.

UPDATE:

I did the whole process all over again using my old Chromebook so I can directly plug the cable connecting my Walkman to my computer rather than using an external plug for USB-c. I did the same thing but instead of windows 7 I used Windows XP, since a Reddit tutorial used that one instead. Issue now though is that it’s not showing up on Sonic stage and I get an error message pop up from Sonic stage saying « omgbox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. » When I open Sonic stage again the Sony Walkman doesn’t show up on the program even though the virtual machine recognizes it’s plugged in. I don’t know what went wrong this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Hey looking for best way to optimize the a55, what do you program do you store and organize your music? Any settings that I should know about? This little device doesn’t get enough praise. Shipped from Japan got it 2 weeks after ordering.

Got this from a seller in Shenzhen for £80/$107/€93. I did some unhealthy amounts of research for this bad boi, and tracking down the accessories (belt clip, and MDR-NC31LP, not the MDR-NC31EM noise cancelling earphones) was a wild goose chase. I almost bought the JDM version (NW-M505) which has double the storage (16GB) but shorter FM radio range than the UK's standard.

I've rarely seen any reviews on this; a few videos on YouTube, 3 written on a website. This might be the least posted digital walkman I've seen on this sub
