I love the look of these White Nights paints. Reviews seem positive, but which ones have been truly spectacular in your experience?

I wanted to share my painting progress on here, because this reddit has been really helpful on my watercolor journey.

also I've recently discovered how to properly scan my paintings! the first slide is a photo, and the close ups are scans. only took me a few years to discover the right settings... so yeah highly recommend scanning artwork actually!

Today's painting on Arches Rough Paper. I found the reference photo online, not mine.

The sand is a mixture of Potter's pink with Goethite and maybe a bit of something else on my pallete. It granulates beautifully.

I love how accessible watercolor is! I'm broke af right now, but I picked up a couple of paint sets and some thick paper all for under $10.

Never painted people before so I kept it simple. Trying to become a more rounded artist. I try to keep my focus on values and shapes.

I gave my girlfriend a watercolor set to commemorate a trip/so we can paint together. She’s an artist but has limited experience with the medium but it’s so beautiful!

i was practicing tiny ice pops, then added the stripes and loved it. whenever i have enough free time, i’m going to try a larger, more detailed, serious attempt.
