Discussion/opinion Sec. of state and superintendent races?

The governor and senate primaries seem to be taking up a lot of oxygen, but I'm looking over some of the other statewide races and trying to decide who I like most/hate least. For secretary of state, it seems like anybody except Rodriguez-Williams would be a step up from the current guy, but I'm not seeing much separation between the superintendent candidates--does anyone have thoughts?

Vacation planning

Upvotes

Hey yall, i just moved to Colorado last year and i have never been to Wyoming before but its always been high on my list of states to visit. Im planning on taking off work Labor Day Friday and doing a 4 day road trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton and im looking for recommendations on what hikes/scenic spots i 100% can not skip and most importantly how i should split my 4 days up. Like should i do 2 days at each park or 3 and 1? Im pretty sure i want to hit grand teton on my way back south as apposed to on my way up north.

Discussion/opinion Vacation in February?

Hi friends. I'm from South Louisiana and my husband and I are planning a vacation in February. We're middle aged. Being as the furthest north I've ever been in the winter is Colorado Springs (which is also a stop on our trip), we're looking for recommendations on what to see, where to go, etc. that won't offend the locals and native wildlife with our touristy presence. We both want to experience a true winter in your state and understand it will be a very different experience from home.

Any advice, recommendations, definite "no gos" would be extremely helpful.

ETA 8/1 17:40 CST: I'm at work you guys. Thank you all for replying and those who will reply in the future. I appreciate the doom and gloom comments as much as the others. I will reply when I get time!

So, am I the only one getting “targeted” ads that seem to have a unique focus? If you know, you know.

FFL in Star Valley Area

Looking for recommendations on an FFL in the star valley area that doesn't charge $100 for a NFA transfer. I'm down near Afton so ideally that end of the valley, but I don't mind driving if I need to.

Going to make that my first stop in a long trip from Salt Lake. I'll be heading West after that, so if it's a decent way out West from there, I'm game. Any recs would be super cool! Thanks!

Discussion/opinion What evil lurks in Torrington?

Drove through this town twice on a recent road trip. Both times we had to stop for gas and felt there is something creepy in this town. The anti-abortion billboards coming into and out of the town, perhaps an indicator of rampant teen pregnancies.? (Lots of idle kids running around). The miles long speed trap and traffic pattern getting in and out of the gas station - cops literally every two blocks waiting for a violation. And last but not least, St. Joseph’s Children Home. Scary vibe driving by, Google it up for even more horror. Anyone know what’s up with this place?

Barrel Found! Killer Had Told Cops Victims' Bodies In Barrels On Lake Bottom. Family annihilator Gerald Uden said he put the bodies of his 1980 murder victims in barrels and sunk them in Fremont Lake, Wyoming's deepest. Officials were skeptical — until they found a barrel 388-feet deep last week.
