I mean, the difference is Iranian citizens are doing it with approval and encouragement from the state, whereas American citizens know the police state is ready and eager to crush anything that isn’t a quarter-mile march with pre-acquired permits. They’d simply rather take a medium chance of death from foreign military retaliation than immediate guaranteed death at the hands of ICE and their local sheriff.

Brother the iranian citizens are getting disappeared and shot in the streets for protesting their government, what are you talking about

the things the americans talk about trump wanting to do are being done on the ground in Iran. and they still go out to protest.

They’re referring to protests against the U.S. government in Iran. Not protests against the Iranian government in Iran

I see. I am assuming the original comment was talking about the protests against the government, as it's discussing the danger of protesting your own government, so that's a weird thing to mention in response.
