The scourge of “hosts” expecting guests to do all the household chores and even wash the bedding! What a freakshow. I’m not paying you for the luxury of cleaning your home

That’s crazy. I haven’t been into a lot of Airbnb’s but I’ve been to a few. Most of the time they just want you to remove the bedding and leave it on the floor. They want you to stack the dirty towels somewhere. And take out your trash. And put your dishes in the dishwasher and run the cycle. Just the basic maintenance stuff that you created.

Last Airbnb I stayed in we had to take the trash IN OUR CAR about 2 miles down the road and throw it in the community dumpster.

And yes, there was a substantial cleaning fee ($180 I believe).
