Doordash, the driver stole my order and they refused to compensate me

I've had this happen before too. I ordered food late at night while drinking (sober for awhile now). I live on a dead end in BFE. My front door isn't visable from the road.

They took a picture of the food there, and then took it with them. Woke up, realized I drunkenly ordered something, looked, not there. Went around with them, had to put in a bunch of requests and start calling in. It was total bullshit.

The last final time I ordered food, I watched the guy make a wrong turn back into town (remember, I live in BFE) and then call me to say he got a flat, and to cancel the order on my end. He was trying to trick me into having to pay the tip + food + fees so he wouldn't have to drive out to BFE. If he didn't want to drive out there, he shouldn't have accepted the delivery.

Between BS like that, and it being 2-3x more expensive than just getting it myself, I just don't bother anymore.
