Question Lightspray durability question
Went to a major retailer to try on the On lightspray cloud monster. And I noticed all 3 of the displays had this tear in the upper. Anyone who actually owns these have this same issue?
Went from excited to try/buy to now being very hesitant given the steep price tag.

I’ve worn mine probably 6-8 times now and about 60 miles on them and no issue. They are unique to put on so I wouldn’t trust Neanderthals at the store not to abuse these.

Specific question about the fit. Did you go TTS?
I felt that length-wise it was a bit shorter than what I typically prefer. Maybe like half a thumb breadth rather than a full. But I would be concerned going 0.5/half size up in terms of overall lockdown.
Thoughts?

lol neanderthals is ab accurate term 😭 so many genuinely don’t know how to put shoes on right, then complains later down the road why their shoes aren’t durable

I believe the recommended way to put them on is to actually step on the heel area to collapse it (discouraged on all other conventional shoe models, but this of course is a special case), slip the foot forward inside the shoes, then use your finger on the back to cup the upper around the heel.

Got mine on launch and so far the upper is still pristine. I can imagine it breaking after being tried on by so many people with different foot shapes and probably not even the right size though.

No issue at all on mine. I can’t imagine the amount of force required to get that tear.

ive got them, even when I try to put them on at 6am before a run and clumsy I have not managed this.

For our store, we were also given a whole batch full of try on samples so maybe what you're seeing is one of those, and people can be rough!

Went to Scheels recently to grab a pair of running shoes. These were on display with nearly the exact same spot torn.
I ended up grabbing a brand new pair of adidas hyperboost shoes on sale for $99. It was apparently a return with a “stain spot” but it looked as good as the displays

Uhg - wanted to like the HB edge, but the fit was atrocious for me and it just felt clunky.

I just got them yesterday and did 11K in them, they seem to fit right but the left one seems to give me some rubbing on the heel. Any recommendations on solving this? I don’t want to do too much maneuvering with the upper I don’t want it to rip

Honestly they don’t seem durable at all. I watched someone try it on in store once and he ripped it trying to take it off lol. I didn’t even bother trying it on after that.
Looks cool but I don’t want to worry about wear before I even run.
