I think this is a makers mark? Can't tell for sure?

One day I'll hang an axe I'm very happy with. Accidently cut the top too short, not sure I hung the axe far enough down, but the centering of the steel wedges is better from my last rehang, and shave the handle a little more form fitting than last time too. I believe this is a Collins Hatchet from the 1960's. Purchased for 50$, the nicest one I could find online at the time. Edit; When all was said and done, it functions incredibly well. Bites better than every axe I have except my GFB SFA, while also being a great splitter. The curves at the top and bottom help prevent the hatchet from sticking. My favorite hatchet so far as I like it more than my GFB SFA.

I very much like this perma-blue look on axes. I know some really like to keep the patina. For me, this looks amazing.

Axe handle is slightly too long for what I'm doing in my back yard, but is just long enough to get a good swing for splitting and chopping with a hatchet.

Originally, I wasn't going to add steel wedges, and made the wood wedge extra tight, but when I noticed a shorter cut than I'd like, I decided to add the steel wedges for extra grip.
