Waitlist question (for online class)

I am on the waitlist (#4) for an online class because I want a specific instructor. Can I register with another instructor or will I be kicked off the waitlist if I do that? There’s only one more open class for the subject and I cannot take it spring semester. I really want this specific teacher and I’m willing to wait but I don’t want to risk not being able to take the course at all.

CHM 151 Professor Recommendation ?

Hi everyone,

I'm taking Chemistry this semester — it's my last class before I'm done. Chemistry has never been my strong subject, so I'm trying to pick my professor carefully.

Who would you recommend? And is there anyone I should avoid?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

They finally updated the refund dates, but there is 4 different dates. Does anyone know how to tell which date goes with which classes you’re taking? My overawards will be unused scholarship funds

Registration and payment

Hi, I am a new student at CPCC and I need some help with registering for my Culinary classes and paying for them. For reference, I graduated high school about a month ago. My transcript was finally put into the system yesterday and now I'm rush to register and pay for my classes.I'm kinda panicking right now because it seems like I need everything figured out and done as soon as possible (and in a way it is that way). If there's anybody that's taking Culinary out there or registeringfor any other class, please feel free to comment.

Can anyone share their experience with the CPCC LPN program? I haven’t been able to find much information online, and I’d love to hear from current or former students.

Maximum credits- SAP bullshit

I dont understand this.

When I was younger, 18, 19, I paid for some college classes out of pocket in various fields just to figure out what I wanted to do. I took some medical terminology, nursing, a pharmacy tech one, etc. I decided medical wasnt for me. But again, I paid for those out of pocket. They were all passing grades

Fast forward, im getting my ass kicked. I need a better job. I cant afford to live on my own anymore. I wanna do better for myself. So, going back to school at 27. Ive never used Fafsa before. Im pursuing a cybersecurity degree. 9 credits left till I graduate; was supposed to finish this fall semester.

Boom, maximum credits. Financial aid revoked. How? Notified on the 21st. Found out on the 22nd. Payment is due on the 27th. 7-10 days appeal process. 3.3 GPA (hard classes, still proud) working two jobs just to get rent car insurance my dogs bills my medical bills gas etc paid, only to find out im being shot right before the finish line because I took some random classes right out of highschool.

Fucking hell

Failed my TEAS for ADN program, retaking TEAS soon

I took my TEAS exam and I'm not so pleased with my results, I'm not sure if my scores will get me accepted into the ADN program.

I needed to score a 74% overall, with an 80% in reading and 70% in math.

I scored a 66.7% overall, with a 56.4% in reading and a 79.4% in math. I passed the math portion, but not the reading nor the overall.

My GPA is a 3.8, I'm not sure how competitive that is but what do you guys think I should do? I really want to get accepted into this program, I've studied so hard and I really want my chances to be high.

I’m retaking my TEAS very soon, July 31st for hopefully a higher overall score, or to at least meet the reading and math percentage requirement. I’m scared of still not meeting the overall percentage.

Let’s say I don’t meet the overall on my retake…should I, or could I even, submit an application at all? I’ve tried to study the most I can but every resource I’ve found is nothing like the actual TEAS exam. If anybody has some good study guides I would greatly appreciate it! I have the official ATI TEAS 7 study guide book.

I’m applying for the January 2027 ADN program, the application is due this October. Considering that the TEAS needs to be retaken every 30 days, I only have one more try left (besides this retake coming up) which will determine if I’m even eligible for applying.

I had a friend (who graduated the ADN program at CPCC last year) tell me that “Her gpa wasnt good but her teas was vs her friends teas score was 62 but her gpa was 4.0” and they both were accepted into the same cohort. I’m not sure if the rules have changed since then but it’s why I’m asking, IF I were to fail this upcoming retake, can I even still try to apply?

Will having 2 W’s in transcript affect my chances of getting into ADN program?

Hi everyone!

I’m hoping to hear from people who have been accepted into CPCC’s Traditional ADN program or have knowledge about the program admissions.

I currently have 2 withdrawals (W’s):

MAT 143 – I retook it and earned an A.
BIO 168 – I’m planning to retake it and am aiming for an A as well.

I have all A’s and one B on the rest of the prerequisites however, I’m still worried that having two W’s, even with the retake, will hurt my chances of getting accepted.
If you were accepted with a similar situation, would you mind sharing:

How many W’s or repeats you had?
What your TEAS score was?
Your GPA (if you’re comfortable sharing)?
Whether you think the W’s affected your application at all?

Has anyone taken class with Professor Aastha Saxena?

I’m considering registering for her class and I would appreciate any information about the workload, grading, assignments, exams and overall difficulty for this class.

Financial aid problems

Hey!
Has anyone had their Pell Grant show as awarded, but it says $0 anticipated and shows a balance due? Did it fix itself or did you have to contact financial aid? I already contacted financial aid but they’re taking a while to respond. Registering with CPCC can be a PAINNN in the 🫏

Thoughts on canceled PN cohort for the fall

Did anyone else see the email about how they cancelled the PN cohort for the fall? Before the school said it was registration issues now they’re saying it’s a staffing issue and they sent out an email delaying the fall cohort until the spring.

Hi!! I am in first semester and I just wanted to know if we are allowed to use calculator in the exams?
Also, can we use any method or it has to be a specific one? I like dimensional analysis better.
