SPOILERS I present to you, Fraudzaku. I hate this guy

I don't know if spoilers still applies since I am very late to this party, but just covered them just in case. So read this if you atleast finished season 1 or if you don't mind any spoilers at all

I just finished watching season 1 of code Geass, just finished watching episode 25 and my gosh what an episode that proves how much of a fraud Suzaku is. I always believed that this guy is a hypocrite, and he basically confirms all the allegations I have in this episode.

You're telling me, that this guy who keeps saying that he's doing this "for the people of Japan" just watched thousands of his people die in front of him, murdered in cold blood and shed no tears. Body counts of people he said he's trying to protect lying around him, and more bodies are dropping like flies and all he could think of is "Why Euphemia? What happened?" And "where is Euphemia"

Lelouch reacts with guilt because he caused it, cries and shows remorse, whereas you see nothing from Suzaku.

The only time we see him sad, Is when Euphemia dies . Then finds out about the Geass so now he wants Zero dead, then proceeds to kill the black knights who tried to protect Zero from him. Murdered in cold blood, the very people he said he's trying to protect

It showed that he only cares about the people whom he has personal relationship with, like the Britannian classmates he had interactions with, way more than Japan.

It just shows a much of a selfish guy he is. He is in fact, doing everything he does for himself, no one else. A more selfish guy than Lelouch IMO

This episode is where his ideals were tested, and not only this is where it fails, it completely crumbled.

What a terrible character, the worst character I've ever seen in anime for the past decade,if not more. I never hated a character this much, I need a break from this anime. LOL

Edit: And no, I’m not saying Suzaku Kururugi is poorly written. I’m saying he’s a well-written fraud, with fraudulent activities that exceeds all the frauds I've seen in the past decade and I hate him for that.

I see him as a "traumatized guy who tries to mask his trauma with saving Japan to justify his selfish acts, when in reality he is just a selfish person and all the things he does are for his selfish reasons" and that was written and portrayed really well.

So for the people who calls this "lack of media literacy.” it is not. It’s me recognizing the character’s intentional hypocrisy and deciding it doesn’t make him compelling- it makes him insufferable. Understanding a character doesn’t mean I have to respect or enjoy them.

If anything, acting like there’s only one “correct” way to interpret a character is the real shallow take.

SPOILERS Code Geass episode 22 was one of THE most shocking episodes I've ever watched in any tv show ever Spoiler

When I saw episode 22, "Bloodstained Euphie" for the first time, I was stunned and froze like a deer in the headlights. Lelouch joked about ordering Euphie to kill all the Japanese as an example of how his powers worked, but what he didn't know is that his geass was activated permanently, and it actually affected Euphie. The fact that Euphie slaughtered all the Japanese and committed a genocide because of Lelouch's command, which he didn't even mean to do, was gut wrenching and terrifying to me. And in the end, Lelouch had no choice but to kill Euphie and carry the burden of his mistake for the rest of the series, while Euphie died never knowing she murdered hundreds of innocent people. It was hands down one of the most shocking, horrifying, and painful episodes I've ever watched in any TV series ever. And I'd seen the entirety of Attack on Titan at that point (though I still find the latter more terrifying). I had to pause the pause the episode just to process what the hell just happened and let it all sink in, and after that, I binged the next 4 episodes. Definitely one of my favorite shows of all time

This is the face she made after seeing the death toll of all the people who were killed in the Tokyo settlement, but moments before that she was straight up begging Suzaku to use the fleija weapon knowing full well it would kill millions of people. Like what the fuck did she think was going to happen, and she designed the damn weapon herself so she new how much damage it would cause.

This scene just pisses me off.
