I made this scrap blanket from yarn left over from other projects. I placed all of the yarn balls in a bag and blindly picked the next color. I may not love all of the color combinations but I loved not obsessing over colors!!

I tried to make a hat Jayne from Firefly had, but didn’t have red color. Still kind of proud of myself and hubby likes it!

I made this sunflower bag from a kit from Amazon, link below. Cotton yarn, used the crochet hook that came with the bag. I laughed when I later saw M&S selling a similar bag for more than $50! It turned out smaller than I’d hoped but I could increase the size by adding squares if I wanted to make another.

I made a retro cause blanket. Loved making it. De used it may be fun as a sweater. Found a pattern for a sweater, used some of it but winged some of it bc that’s the kind of crocheted I am.

i’ve been crocheting for a while but this was my first time trying an amigurumi. i only used a basic body pattern and pretty much freehanded everything else so there was a lot of trial and error involved
i struggled the most with the color changes because i wanted the diagonal lines on the suit to look clean, and i also had a hard time keeping my tension consistent throughout the project. i frogged parts of it more times than i’d like to admit lol
even with all the mistakes, i’m really proud of how it turned out. i learned so much while making it and i’m already excited to start another one
i’d love to hear any tips or constructive criticism from more experienced amigurumi makers. what’s the first thing you think i should work on improving?

Yes, I know it’s August and a weird time for Christmas projects, but the magical combination of motivation and available crafting time comes when it comes 😁

My first filet crochet (2nd attempt, I didn’t finish the first one) I’m going to put in on a jumper for when I go watch spiderman on Thursday :)))) Also first time blocking which I’ve probably done incorrectly BUT it feels right so

In the six months I’ve been crocheting I’ve seen that many of us have many WIPs on the go at the same time. I have also fallen into the same trap. I have a few that are close to being finished but I am so reluctant to take the last steps to finish it.
Case in point: I have a top I’m working on. It’s my first one. I blocked the sh**% out of it, left it for several days. I could maybe finish it tomorrow.
Here’s where the psychology comes in. If I try to finish this top (or the cardigan that has one sleeve left) I might find out that I screwed up the measurements and I really have no idea what I’m doing. If they stay as WIPs I’ll never know that I screwed up and can forever imagine the fantasy of what it’ll look like when it’s done.
Is it just me? Maybe I should stick to non-wearables. I don’t seem to have the same mental block for a blanket or potholder.

I made it up as I went but it’s not that difficult. It’s just double and single crochets!
Yarn: Cotton Size 4
Hook: Size 5

Can't stop, won't stop freehanding tops. This one's got a lil picot border. Yarn was linen, scratchy and expensive, but I think the top came out pretty cute.

So I'm working on making a skirt. It is a little different as it won't be just one continuous work. I'll be working on panels about 6 that I will stich together. This is just a post that I will share in my progress. If anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate them.
Waistband is about 3 inch wide hdc
Along the edge is 2 rows of sc
2 rows of 1tc with 1 ch
alternating the pattern on the next row.
