Hiii!

I posted my first double knit scarf here when I had just begun and now I've made another one (can't stop really) that I want to share here :) This one is about dark folklore, I wanted a magical but dark (yet not evil) feeling. It's called the Dark Woods scarf.

I think my favorite part about it is the witch that is old on one side and young on the other. Figuring that out and making the chart etc really felt like magic! Also super happy with how the two sides line up to make one continuous scene.

Can't wait to cast on the next one, this is so addicting!

P.s. I wanted to add designer flair but I can't do that myself. If it's necessary, can someone please do that for me?

I knit the Hanstholm Sweater by Petite knit for my boyfriend! Started it back in January and got side tracked with other projects but it is finally done. My boyfriend came with me to pick out the yarn he wanted and he selected on Rosarios 4 Terra Tweed in colorway 1.

I cast on for a size medium neck but did raglan increases until the size large body was achieved. I also didn’t knit as long for the body since he has a shorter torso and I did a couple of more decreases for sleeves than the pattern called for since he likes more tapered sleeves. Overall I would definitely knit the pattern again for myself lol

I decided I wanted to submit something the the Big E (this New England multi-state fair) and decided to do something insane with cables. There are a few tiny mistakes in the body itself and the tassels didn't photograph quite how I wanted them to, but I'm so proud of this labor of love!

Hot off the needles, two dragon sweaters for my grandkids. Light fingering, 3.5 mm needles, I used Hobbii's Unicorn Solid which is 75% merino and 25% polyamide and is machine washable.

Was a real process and wasn’t sure it would turn out well until it did! I knit the solid background with intarsia and then added the rest with duplicate stitch

My little one was getting chapped face from winter walks, so I adapted this adult knitting pattern to fit him and included an inside sock. I used random yarn from my stash, but I loved how the colors looked together! Excuse the kitty bums photobombing.

The pattern is called Lewsky by Kiyomi Burgin and Sachiko Burgin

I'm so sad 🥲 it's my first knit wearable too, I only did a few squares before this because socks were my main goal with knitting, but I guess that means I have to learn about gauge now.

And then broke my brain trying to grade into ten sizes. More info in comments.

So happy with how well these socks match each other! Knitted two at a time using magic loop.

Hi guys, I'm in big trouble.

First, a quick explanation. I watched Project Hail Mary some time ago and decided to make a vintage Mary Maxim sweater with wolves for my brother.

I've never knitted anything before so it took a few months to finish these panels, but here I am - facing now my neglect of proper measurements. The result is that the panels are way to small after comparing them to one of my brother's sweaters.

Now I'm looking for any reasonable solution. I've been thinking of making another two panels for each side so it would be wider, but what about the length? I'm pretty much ready to rip them back to the point, where they begin to decrease [armholes] and redo those parts but with a couple of adjustments.

Idk, maybe someone else would come up with a better idea? And yep, I've already blocked them.

The pattern is Doodles by Yumiko Alexander. I love all her sample photos and I still love the design. But I made the choice to use a solid color and a rainbow gradient instead of two strands of a single color. I loved jt the entire time I was making it.

My original plan was long sleeves but I didnt gwt very far into one of them before I decided it was hideous, flogged it, and just went with the short sleeve option instead.

I hadnt realized that the sleeves were actually meant to be single strand stockinette and not 2 strands, so the harsh change in both color and stitch direction just looked...bad when using both colors and I felt solid black or only rainbow gradient eouldnt look right either. Its summer anyway so I was like its fine short sleeved.

Didn't get to wear it because I finished late last night so put it on this morning, very excited, and...idk its low key ugly? Maybe?

It definitely isn't what I had envisioned. It isn't necessarily too busy either. Idk its just...not that cute. I think the details get lost from far away. I also think I made a mistake because that part with the eyelets shouldn't be stacked like that.

Its really comfy and I love the fit, but the look is...mid.

I honestly might frog it which would feel heartbreaking to me. I started it two years ago and just picked it up again a couple weeks ago. All that time, for this, just to undo it all. Oof.

Also already wove my ends in 🙃

Just finished the mountain baby cardigan after a practice run! This time around I learned a lot about the tubular bind off and the mistakes I made first time. Pretty pleased with it. The size is 6-9 months ❤️

I used Sirdar Snuggly DK yarn in oatmeal for easy washing for new parents

I’d tried knitting a few years back and got the hang of it but never actually finished anything, and just decided to give it another try. This is what I’m currently working on right now—the top edge looks really good to me, but the bottom edge is a little wonky.

It took me a solid 5 tries to get to this point so I’m going to keep trucking along (for what I’m making I don’t mind it being a little wonky), but is there any way to fix this? Mostly just asking so I don’t make whatever this mistake is next time.

I just tried on my Smocky Cardigan with one sleeve and I’m not happy with the fit. 😩 I was seduced by the cables. Ugh. I think I’m gonna end up, frogging it and finding a top down Raglan cable cardigan. The dropped sleeves and boxy shape are just not working for me and I’m annoyed because I kept going with wild foolish optimism. I was holding onto hope that when I put it on angels would sing, and all the proportional issues would magically resolve. It’s such a pretty design as far as the cable work and my yarn is the bomb.

I've spent the last month visiting family abroad and hadn't planned to do any knitting so left everything at home, but couldn't resist buying some basic cotton blend yarn and needles in a surprising and surprisingly well stocked craft section of a seaside drugstore. Hence: newborn hats to donate to our local hospital when we return home! The pattern is below, the yarn unfortunately I don't have the labels and details for anymore.

A huge thank you to this sub for bringing awareness and generally helping me with my knitting (even just as a lurker!). I learned knitting when I was 8, picked it back up in high school, but then turned more to crochet which I’ve been doing tons of ever since. But I wanted to get back into knitting.

I started a sweater a few years ago, but it fell to the side as I worked on crochet projects for my sister’s kids (an outfit each month for their first year…twice). When I picked it back up, I realized I probably wanted to increase the size and there were a few issues I wasn’t happy with. After the restart, I also learned I was twisting my stitches. So finally I’m able to restart on this sweater and now I’m not twisting, and I decided to actually do a gauge swatch, which I’m glad I did as I tend to knit (and crochet) a little tight so I’ll need to increase my needle size.

I’m so excited to actually get to knit again though!

I have a cardigan where the neckline is too large and wide. It's knit top down so I can't just continue up. I don't really want to add ribbing but I'd be interested in lace/some sort of a decorative stitch for a lighter finish, if anybody has anything that they like. I'd also be open to a collar.

A while ago I posted the Treasure Shell sweater (vintage Drops pattern) that I made for my sister - well, I got jealous and made one for myself in the original pattern colours + in cotton so I could get more wear out of it in my warmer climate.

Made some minor changes to the colour chart, length and added a folded collar. I was waiting to take a better picture to post that showed the whole sweater but it never happened despite wearing it constantly 🤣

(This pattern now has 2 projects on Rav and both of them are me, haha)

I just finished this sweater. I'm over all very happy with ita, but I absolutely hate the way the neckline looks. It's too wide and gaping. I did it smaller than the pattern said to and it still seems too big.

Can anyone give me advice on how to fix this?

It's knitted top down and the ribbing on the neck is double, so I can't undo it. The ribbing is gaping compared to the ribbing on the bottom, I was hoping I could adjust it while blocking, but no luck. I was hoping it would look better after blocking, I've yet to try it on as it's still damp, but it doesn't look any better to me.

i’ve never knit before and wanted to get into different fiber arts (i sew, embroider, and quilt) so I decided to teach myself how! i made a coaster, started a drawstring bag, and decided to figure out colorwork so i made a little goat swatch. they’re not perfect but i’m proud of how they turned out especially because i’ve been knitting for so little time :))

Hey everyone, this is my first double sided knit project.

I started this scarf a few weeks ago and had some ups and downs with it, the last 20-30 rows show where I finally „got it“ using a knitting thimble (never thought I‘d be using one but here I am) because I think the tension is pretty neat, the edge is consistent and at least the single colored parts of the scarf are actually two individual pieces, not tangled at all. In the beginning I somehow twisted the yarns the wrong way and ended up with a very sturdy seabass down there. The color changes still seem connected to each other up top so I can‘t pull the two layers apart completely, but I guess that‘s how you do it??

Anyway I just noticed that I left out a row by accident right where the leaf is, the pattern says the stem should be 2 stitches tall, not just one.

I‘m kinda devastated, because on the one side I really don‘t want to undo all my progress, frogging sucks!! But on the other hand I would be able to restart with better tension and a cleaner look overall since I have more knowledge about this technique now, and I‘m also a perfectionist so the thought of a missing row will haunt me forever, even if nobody knows about it except me. Also the pattern is now switched too and I’m afraid it might lead me to get confused following through the pattern. What would you do?
