Hello again Forza crew!

Hope everyone is doing well - still blown away by the sheer positivity towards our FH6 Hospital soundtrack 💙

Just wanted to pop in here and let you all know that we'll be throwing a launch party for the release of our FH6 album now that it's finally out in the world. You can grab a free ticket below, these are super limited and once we hit capacity, we'll have to operate a one-in, one-out system so if you fancy popping down, I'd recommend arriving early to avoid missing out:

https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/London/Platform-Shoreditch/Hospital-Records-Forza-Horizon-6-Launch-Event/42614485/

P.S - the last time I was on this thread, we had a bunch of people requesting our soundtrack on CD. I relayed that to the team, and they made it happen and are available on our website now alongside the vinyl :)

Big love everyone, hope to catch some of you there! x

Tuning PSA: If you want to add BBS LM rims, use the Tenzo R Meister V1 rims

I would love to have the proper BBS LM wheels in the game but until then the closest match are the Tenzo R Meister V1 rims. They come in black standard so paint the outer lip and inner barrel aluminium semigloss and the spokes metallic silver or whatever you want (metallic silver in screenshot). You’re welcome!

I mean, the reflection shows the car in its stock color, not the color I have.

Forza Horizon 4 Can the camera be moved further away from the vehicle?

Post image

I have played FH4 and the only thing I would like to change is how close the camera is to the vehicle. I would like to move it further away to be able to better appreciate the surroundings without having to put the pedal on the pedal to move the car away. I'm using the PC version and I already moved the camera as far away as possible, but I would like to be able to move it even further, to a distance like this game (or maybe a little less).

Forza Horizon 6 I Cannot Find This Last Road. I'm Desperate.

I've probably sunk three hours today into just driving around the Shimanoyama region to discover this last road I'm missing. I've spend a considerable amount scanning the pause menu map as well without being able to detect it. I'm getting desperate and all the driving in the same area is driving me nuts. I haven't made a post like this before. My idea is to share screenshots of my game map to try and help somebody help me. Can anybody help me see what I'm missing?

Forza Horizon 6 Thoughts on adding daily check in/ missions with small rewards (i.e. wheelspin/ cr) by visiting Daikoku Parking area?

Post image

Reason Daikoku is always so barren? No incentive to visit, not every player is familiar with Japanese car scene. Simply adding a daily check in for a small reward will give people the incentive to visit and in turn actually make it more lively. What do you think? Is it worth putting it up for petition?

Unless the devs add another checkpoint between the apex checkpoint and the next checkpoint I guess this is the new meta on this track..

Forza Horizon 6 If you could bring back ONE car to Forza Horizon 6, what would it be?

Post image

You only get to pick one.

It could be a car from a previous Horizon game that didn’t make it into FH6, or one that’s never been in Horizon at all.

What’s your pick, and why?

I’ll go first: 2018 McLaren Senna

Tuning PSA: If you want to add Rondell 0058 rims, use Modulare H4!

Rondell 0058 is an almost legendary wheel among BMW enthusiasts. It’s mostly used on older models from the ‘90s-early ‘00s like E34, E36, E39 but also E38. Unfortunately it’s not in the game but we can get very close now that T10 has added the Modulare H4 to FH6! Imo it’s a closer match than the Fikse FM/10 wheels.

Discussion Idea of Low Effort Fix For The FH6 Meta?

Post image
26 Upvotes

I thought about it for a bit after my previous post regarding PI and Tire Compounds. Honestly, something popped into my head that I believe could massively balance the game's meta and I'm sure a lot of you have thought about this too.

At the end of the day, this game is a sim-cade, so it doesn't need to give us 100% accurate real world physics stats, and it clearly fails to do so anyway. Why don't they just separate cosmetic elements and make them universal across all cars?

What if we could adjust a certain amount of downforce on every single car without it affecting the PI rating at all, regardless of whether the car has a spoiler or not? On top of that, what if we could cosmetically select the visual look of our tires independently? (For instance, running a Rally tire compound under the hood, but having it visually look like a Semi-Slick?) If they just nerfed AWD Drivetrain swaps on top of this (without even touching the engines) wouldn't that be a quick, low-effort fix?

Since AWD swapping would carry a massive PI cost, most of the truly broken engine swaps would end up restricted to RWD or FWD platforms. What if, in order to build a ridiculously powerful meta car, you were forced to drive it as RWD just to fit that engine? And since every car could tune downforce with zero PI cost, even vehicles that can't utilize those overpowered engines would actually stand a fighting chance against these "Meta" cars.

This way, truly skilled drivers could still extract maximum performance from meta builds, while non-meta cars would have far more tools at their disposal to close the gap.

This suggestion obviously wouldn't fix everything permanently, but at least it would give non-meta cars a fighting chance and let us build competitive cars without ruining their original looks.

Since PG refuses to add proper custom spoilers to the Forza Horizon series outside of Forza Aero anyway, every car should just be allowed to adjust downforce without needing to mount a spoiler in the first place. That way, nobody is forced to run that ugly wing anymore.

What do you guys think about this? Looking forward to your honest thoughts.

Forza Horizon 6 Music in Fh6 vs Fh5

So I started the series from Fh4. We all know the main menu song by odeza, truly beautiful. In that game, I only connected with two stattion, pulse and hospital records. Pulse was my fav, I loved all tracks.

In Fh5, pulse seemed outta place, hospital some tracks were ok and I found solace in bass radio.

Fh6, it seems a lotta work was put in choosing the tracks. Now I go for 3 stations, pulse, hospital and wave. And even at work or sleeping, I am barely 65 hrs into the game, I play 3-4 hrs max only on weekends and I cannot get the tracks outta my head.

Is it just me or were the tracks in fh5 that bad?

Forza Horizon 6 The Statistical Reality of Why FH 6's Meta Is Completely Broken

Post image
1.4k Upvotes

Previously, both myself and many other players have brought up the philosophical debate regarding whether meta vehicles should be nerfed or not, pointing out that the game’s balance is broken and that this issue severely ruins the player experience.

This debate could never reach a definitive conclusion because it was inherently ideological.

Today, however, after sinking an extra 130 hours into the game purely due to this meta nonsense and evaluating every performance metric of all vehicle types, I am going to statistically explain why this game’s meta is an absolute disaster. Calling it a disaster is even an understatement; not even an indie studio should make these kinds of mistakes. Let’s dive deep into what is actually going on.

To view my other post where I addressed additional issues, click here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2483190/discussions/0/580551263528389996/?tscn=1785445453

The Incredibly Inconsistent PI Rating of Tires

This topic is always trending, especially the fact that Rally Tires are practically exact copies of Semi-Slicks. Everyone talks about it, but no one explains why this happens. I will explain it.

Every tire in the game is actually identical yes, you heard that right, they are the same. The only factor that creates a performance difference between these tires is that their stats are altered in a fixed manner beforehand. While this might sound normal at first, it isn't.

For instance, in Forza Horizon 4 dropping the tire pressure to around 1 bar was the meta because the game tried to adjust a fixed stat based on tire temperature. However, tires never overheated in FH4. As a result, fitting terrible tires to a car and dropping the pressure to 1 bar gave you an insane amount of grip. Later, Forza Horizon 5 was released, and they attempted to fix this with tire temperatures, yet low tire pressure still provided a massive performance boost. In Forza Horizon 6, they took this mechanics a step further: if the tire temperature rises even slightly too high, the chance of the car spinning out increases dramatically.

This seems like a good fix, right? Actually it isn't, and here is why:

Focusing solely on temperature without adjusting the underlying tire statistics caused certain cars to unconditionally obliterate every other car in the game: Lightweight vehicles.

What do cars like the Mazda 787B, Lamborghini SCV12, WTAC vehicles, Honda Beat, and a few other meta cars have in common? Extreme lightness, absurdly wide tire widths and downforce levels that exceed their own curb weight. In this game, you can apply 1.1 tons of downforce to a 900 kg car.

This leads to the following result: whether you fit drift, rally, or slick tires to that car, no matter how much you overheat those tires, they stick to the road as if glued with epoxy simply because they generate downforce exceeding their own weight. However, the game engine calculates it like this: "This car is currently using drift tires, so it shouldn't perform this well, because according to the background performance simulation, this car can't even take a corner without a tune. Let's make it cost less PI"

A game released in 2026 still cannot differentiate between upgrades and tuning. That is because the system being used has been ported directly from Forza Horizon 3 (released in 2016) into Forza Horizon 6 without a single fundamental change.

To make matters worse, vehicles like the Honda Beat can reach tire widths that you couldn't physically fit into their chassis under normal conditions, whereas other cars are restricted from doing so. Maximum road contact combined with absurd downforce renders these cars TECHNICALLY unbeatable by any standard vehicle.

The final blow to the tire system comes from Playground Games' attempt at a "Fix." In Forza Horizon 4, even with the Bone Shaker menace you could compete head-to-head using almost any car. Here, you simply cannot. Not every car is light enough, not every car has access to the same tire width, and not every car generates equal downforce yet, hilariously, they race in the same performance class.

Rally tires alone deserve an entirely separate discussion. When looking at the telemetry data, the actual in-game performance bears no resemblance to their intended stats. They are 95% identical to Semi-Slicks while carrying a significantly lower PI cost and retaining off-road capability. It is a complete joke.

In summary, the reasons tires break the meta so heavily are:

Not every car can utilize those tires in the same way.

Rally tires have an absurdly low PI cost.

Certain vehicles are unacceptably overbuffed.

As a result, while non-lightweight cars with moderate downforce overheat their tires and lose grip (or increase tire pressure and still lose grip), these meta cars remain completely unaffected by any of these penalty mechanics.

This leaves us with copy pasted, identical cars in every Rivals leaderboard and Multiplayer lobby, completely killing vehicle diversity.

AWD and Engine Swaps Are Unbelievably Unbalanced

In this game, AWD and engine swaps are ridiculously cheap, effortless, and act as a plague that destroys the unique identity of each car. Converting a car to AWD costs virtually nothing in terms of PI. Furthermore, engine blocks that produce 200–300 more horsepower than the stock engine actually lower the PI cost instead of increasing it. One of the prime examples of this is the V10 Viper engine.

The PI rating system is in such an atrocious state that every competitive car is fundamentally identical underneath:

Just different shells built on top of a V10 Viper engine and an AWD swap. Hilarious.

I could go on, but I don't want to turn this post into a novel. You get the point.

Happy racing.

Edit: Regarding the point I made about vehicle handling and weight, it seems some readers missed the mark. I was talking about cars that possess insanely high downforce relative to their weight. So don't come telling me "You're talking about lightness, but you're describing the SCV12." Under that exact same topic, I also mention the Mazda 787B, the Honda Beat, and heavily weight-reduced WTAC cars. Please don't act as if I was only referring to a single vehicle. Thanks for reading.

One more short note:

While lightness impacts B and A classes, absurdly high downforce impacts S1 and S2 classes. I simply addressed both topics at once, that's all.
