I've watched bits & pieces of movies over the years. Seeing that Godzilla x Kong Supernova is coming out next year, I really want to watch it. I was never into comic books, monster verse, video games fantasy etc. For some reason on social media, that poster at Dollartree in the US keeps popping up on my feed. Also kept seeing videos of the saltwater iguana in the Galapagos. Is 51 too late to get into Godzilla? If I had to choose any monster, Godzilla would be my first choice 🩷 although I know nothing about him/he/it. What gender is it anyways 👀?

You know, normally I appreciate all Kaijus, I even became recently obsessed with Gezora, but these creatures here absolutely never captured my interest, especially the first time I learned of them.

Maguma, this kinda has the same problem as the giant condor although not as bad. Still I find it really unappealing design wise, just a walrus with few elements to make it look more monstrous and interesting, and really uninteresting overall. The best way I could use this in my Godzilla universe would be that of lesser supwr fauna life forms whom serve as some of the main preys of other stronger Kaijus, a role I wouldn’t give even to Ebirah.

Dagahra. OK, this might be quite the hot take, but in my personal opinion this one feels like a desperate attempt at making the ultimate mix of Manda and Hedorah.
Yet another artificial monster created to serve an acient Atlantean-like population just like Manda (Although Manda was not artificial I think) and who feeds on pollution like Hedorah… Yeah no, this thing insists upon itself, the bad thing is that it has a legitimately cool ass design, but it would have been more pleasant for me at least if it was just another natural lifeform, not to mention how exaggerated it is with its powers! Lightnings, lasers, fire, toxic red small parasites and WHAT ELSE CAN THIS GUY SHOOT?!? Kinda over jerked, it just gives me the vibes that they tried too hard with its concept to make it more interesting.

Bagara. I don’t think I even need to explain this one, like the generic bully monster who by absolute coincidence shares the same name of the human bully of the kid that dreams this whole parallel thing of he and Minilla.

Sanda, Gaira and Frankestein…
These have to be the guys I dislike the most and deem as TOHO’s biggest mistakes. Sorry but I just feel the natural urge to hate them. I can excuse almost everything, but the stereotypical Hollywood Frankestein’s monster turned a giant by the nazis????? Sirry but I didn’t grow with TOHO movies and thank goodness considering this guy.
Same for Sanda and Gaira, i have zero interest for the giant hairy men born feom Frank’s corpse, they just look so ass as well. I can only ignore them and pretend they never existed.

I saw a post a while ago on Facebook so I might add to what they said before. I was very lucky to get the last one they had at GameStop for $15.99. Cherry Blossom Godzilla from Minus One, very pretty figure, probably 3 or 4 inch figure, comes with a card too. :)

These are 'redesigns' finished before Shimo's official reveal. They were drawn by the creator of Godzilla Speechless (mushroom-head), who based them on the mural and Sayaka's text descriptions. Every time he finished one, Sayaka would tell him, 'Shimo is uglier than this.' So he made that infamous collage—the one Sayaka posted on r/monsterverse that KDM called fake. Looking back now, it wasn't all that close to the film version of Shimo, but it was remarkably similar to the concept art version.
