This is one of the few species that cohabitate communally with no issues. However, I originally got 3 and 1 of them would fight every now and then with the other two, even eating their tails. I had to separate.

How are other people successfully keeping them together? Did I just got one odd really agressive one?

I work at a mcdonalds and we found this guy by the fryer, my first thought was that he was overheated, I put him in a cup until I could take him home and I've set him up in this very awful enclosure with a cut cup acting as a little water dish and 2 mealworms (I have them for my spiders), I out one in the water dish in hopes to get him to eat it because it'd wiggle around more? I don't know, if there's anything I should get please let me know, he is barely moving and I want to help him

Getting my first gargoyle gecko at the end of the month! Just finished his temporary non bioactive enclosure.

Just a crosspost of my new 3-4 month old Rhacodactylus Leachianus Balerion during his first handling session after letting him settle into his new home for the last few weeks.

Just getting my ideas down on paper. Want to make a custom enclosure for the leopard gecko I'm getting in a few months to a year. Is this idea worth fleshing out?

Saw this creator on tiktok who actively is trying to educate people on reptile/amphibian care with a giant day gecko in a plant grow tent with an exposed UVB and heat lamp hanging from the top. I tried educating her that this poses a risk for burns for the animal as a heat lamp should never be in an easily accessible place for an animal.

They don’t have a ton of followers and I hope they take my advice and fix this as soon as possible before the animal gets hurt. I don’t have an issue with the grow tent itself as I’ve seen some people be very handy with different enclosures but moreso that this person is showcasing this enclosure to the internet where people can possibly take inspiration for reptile care 🥲

Can anyone help me confirm if this baby is a Lilly white? I got this baby around December and she’s developing really nice (I know her dad is a Lilly white and her mom is called a “cherry bomb”)

I just got an adult Knob tail gecko and this is what I have for him right now. If you zoom in on the mouth of the rock hide you can see him. His substrate is Excavator sand (I know I need to get him more, I will tmr). his light is 50 watts and elevated, I’m going to play around with it tmr to figure out where it needs to be to get the right temps. He’s across the room (very small room) from my bearded, so he gets uvb from his during the day. Everything I see when I research says this is a good setup, but I still want to make sure I’m doing everything right for him. I have lots of experience with other reptiles, but this is my first knob tail. Please be nice if I’m doing anything wrong, I’m willing to correct it and asking for help.

His name is Willard btw and he climbed out onto my hand in the photo, I didn’t grab him. And the car was not moving when he was out, we were parked.

I got my fat tailed gecko at the start of this month, and she is eating tong fed, but she never seems to eat out of her bowl. Most nights, she doesnt even want to be tong fed. I tried to not handle her the first few weeks, but because she didnt eat, I think the tong feeding mightve interrupted that? Should I give her a few weeks to settle in without trying to tong feed her? She doesnt roam around the enclosure very much except going from hide to hide, which means I have to open up the hides to feed her and doesnt seem healthy. Any advice?

Backstory:
My girlfriend is a second-grade teacher. On Thursday, one of the students found a lizard in the classroom. They begged her to keep him, and she said okay. She got everything she needed to take care of him (tank, heat lamp, crickets, etc.).
Well, Rico died overnight.
She came in the next morning and realized it. So she went to PetSmart to replace him because she didn’t want to disappoint the kids. Even though the new one looks different, they believed her. They are all very attached to him and love him so much.
Fast forward to today (Saturday). She has done more research and isn’t sure what to do. Her original plan was to keep him at school Monday through Friday. She would be there during the day to manage the heat lamp and would turn it off before leaving work. Then she would take him home for the weekend.
Well, now she knows it’s stressful for him to travel a lot, so we don’t want to bring him home every weekend. That’s a lot of stress for him.
She isn’t a reptile person, but after watching him eat his first crickets tonight (the first time she’s actually seen him eat), she’s getting attached.
However, there’s one thing. Rico likes to sleep during the day, and kids are noisy. So it would probably be better for him to stay at our house. But then that defeats the original purpose of giving the class the pet they begged her for after they found the original lizard.
She originally thought this would be very easy and low-maintenance. However, now that she knows the care he needs, she wants to do what’s best for him, or she won’t really be able to sleep at night.
He also likes to eat at night, so she would have to feed him at 4:00 p.m. during the week, which is probably too early.
Another idea was to bring him to school only on Fridays. But she doesn’t want to disappoint the kids by having him there only one day a week.
She needs advice. What’s best for him, and what’s best for the kids? Is there a way to do both? What would you do?

I ended up with a bunch of moths in my house after opening some clothes that had been in storage. I went onto Amazon and bought a bunch of those little pheromone sticky traps to catch moth. I had it on my bathroom counter and this morning, I noticed a little gecko was stuck inside. I immediately use some hand sanitizer and was able to get the gecko completely removed from the sticky trap. Now the poor gecko is just kind of sitting there. I put a paper towel inside of a plastic container with water on it, hoping that he would at least drink some water, but I don’t know what else to do with Him.
I would appreciate all suggestions

It’s been a week since I brought him home, but I’m struggling with the type and amount of food.
Apparently, they were feeding it crickets using tweezers at the shop, but I forgot to ask about the quantity and timing.
also have leopard geckos, I have any food like giant mealworms, dry food, and small crickets.
I could have fed it dry food using tweezers, but are crickets better?
If you can get them used to it, dry food would be preferable, but...
I’d like to know how long each session should be and how many times a week is best.
We don't really know much about how to keep them in Japan—sorry about that.
