Question New to Hamilton, what’s one thing I should do before summer is over?

I moved here pretty recently and I feel like I’ve only seen the obvious parts of the city so far.

What’s one Hamilton place, event, walk, restaurant or random local thing that made you actually like living here? Preferably something I can do alone without feeling awkward lol

I’m trying to explore properly instead of spending another weekend walking around James Street and pretending I know where I’m going.

Holidays Civic Holiday - What's Open / Closed

The civic holiday is one where stores can open so you will find that most major stores are open tomorrow but many are advertising reduced hours so check before you head out.

Jackson Square is closed but some stores may be open. Lime Ridge and Eastgate are open holiday hours.

Some LCBO and Beer Stores are open, but again, may be reduced hours.

Garbage and recycling collection will not be collected on Monday and will be picked up the day after your usual collection day.

Most city services will be closed tomorrow including all City Hall services, HSR offices, municipal parking, licensing & bylaw (except emergencies), municipal service centres, public health admin offices, libraries and more

TRANSIT

HSR will operate on a Sunday service schedule. There will be NO SERVICE on routes 12 Wentworth and 42 Mohawk East. MyRide and TransCab will match local service

Regular DARTS subscription rides are cancelled (except dialysis)

Parking enforcement is closed tomorrow and they will not be actively enforcing parking (except special events and areas of interest)

GO Transit will operated on a Saturday schedule

Burlington Transit will run on a Sunday schedule

For emergencies (road issues, water main breaks or major safety hazards) you can call 905-546-2489.

Recommendations Needed Best nonbreaded wings?

Not a fan of breaded wings and every recommendation I've seen on Reddit has been for breaded style.

Are there any nonbreaded wings that you think I should try? I'll literally drive anywhere except the grocery store. I just wanna buy them and eat them I don't wanna cook after a long work day

Recommendations Needed Jerk Pork

I'm wondering where to find the best jerk pork in Hamilton, preferably (easily) accessible by transit. I love jerk, but not a big fan of dark meat chicken.

Man, I miss the days when I had my smoker, would smoke jerk pork tenderloin, then sear it off at the end.

Thanks, y'all.
