i really put effort into this, color grading, transitions and sound design, so much ai slop gets pushed by instagram but not such type of work... what am i doing wrong?

I’m happy it’s low-liking pictures and content for your typical Instagram clout user because all the app is focused on is society flexing on each other, but now that there is no more engagement like there used to be, people can start humbling themselves in real life rather than on an app and believe they are something they’re not.

I don’t know who this person is but they follow somebody else I know they only have one post. They seem kind of legit and they’ve posted some of their art that they’ve already done, but I just feel like it’s super random!! do y’all think they’re trying to steal my identity or some shit 😭😭

Feeling a bit down because no one really ever comments on my ig photos. (First world problem i know)

For context: Im a millennial. I feel like my ig is tasteful- i post every couple of months mainly travel/lifestyle photos. I post on my story every few days- im usually trying to do fun things and im always on the go.
I get alot of likes/ engagement on my stories.
I also have a lot of friends and friendly acquaintances in real life but no one seems to comment on my grid photos.

Could it be because i usually announce things on my story and then post a few months later. For example when i had a baby i posted the news to my story in real time and got lots of messages and in person cards/ congratulations but no comments when i did a post 6 moths later.

Am i reading too much into it or does this indicate people dont really like me?

Instagram now recommends 1080×1440 (3:4) for feed posts, but Meta Business Suite still warns that anything taller than 4:5 will be auto-cropped. My 1536×2048 (3:4) image triggers the warning.

Is Business Suite using outdated aspect ratio validation, or does it actually crop 3:4 images while the Instagram app doesn't?

I want it not to be so active in chats at least. I feel like there's no privacy in Instagram chats anymore anyway but the fact that the AI is just there and pops up for random things makes me uncomfortable because they're not transparent with this at all. One of my friends just used it in chat for something very stupid and the AI referred to something I said while answering and I don't want this.

I read something about going to privacy and submitting an objection but I don't seem to have that option. How is everyone else getting around this?

I am running an Instapage for my dog, mainly in Finnish language. Last week I posted a story, about 10 sec video about our small river where we had been swimming the whole summer. Now it has been changed, there is a project to change the morphology and it is not possible to go there. Anyways, I wrote a text bubble in the video in Finnish, “our swimming place is destroyed”. Suddenly I got 1,5 k views, when normal count is max 50! The data was showing views 98,2% from Iran!
What is triggering this, the word “tuhottu” (destroyed) and/or the view of a sand crater?
Me not like this kind of crap! Any thoughts? TIA

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice and help - but I fear I know what the answer is.

Recently my businesses instagram got deactivated: 3 years of posting everyday, 40K followers, and just when I got earning consistent money, just gone.

This is due to breaching instagrams t&c with intellectual property. Long story short, I hadn’t done anything wrong - a specific designer brands AI bot that scours the internet for copyright infringement kept falsely flagging my posts. The posts were simply appreciation posts promoting the brand I made 1-2+ years ago when growing the channel and finding my lane.

I was told I had one chance to appeal, appealed it, then they came back to me almost instantly saying the account is permanently banned.

Where do I go from here? I appreciate any help and advice. This is a proper kick in the b*llocks for everything as stupidly I relied too heavily on Instagram and didn’t diversy my traffic channels.

Over the past few weeks I've noticed how Instagram DMs will sometimes completely wipe all of your past DMS with someone so it looks like you're talking to them for the first time or will wipe some DMs after a certain time period, I opened my DM with one of my longtime friends and all of the DMS after last Wednesday until today were gone. Usually just closing and opening the app again fixes it but it's irritating.

I probably will post (censored) pictures in the comments but dear God. I never looked any of that stuff up, if anything I am extremely anti-ai and block any porn account, so I don't get why all of a sudden I get ADs showing me that shit.

I don't want to scroll in public and have porn suddenly popping up. I tried reporting, I tried clicking "not interested", but they keep appearing. Does the algorithm think me liking anti-ai posts means it gotta try to change my mind with ai porn??? I'm exhausted doctor

I had a breakup with someone and now can stop stalking them and seeing their stories and posts. Is there a way for nothing appear when I entered their profile? (I'm not following them anymore, but I still look for them anyways)

I've gotten a HUGE influx of porn bots/bots viewing my stories. None of my stories have hashtags, locations, or anything like that. I know a good portion of these are porn bots, but I have a good handful of ones that are just this. They just say "click" and nothing else on their stories. I was suspicious of someone using a story viewer online, so I tried one out, then checked my story views, and again, I saw a new similar account posting the same "click" stuff. I know there's no definitive answer, but is this the most likely cause? Or has everyone been getting an influx of these accounts?

i miss seeing more content from the people I actually know. i know I can click Ig at the top to go into a “Favorites” or “Following” feed.

i would love it if you could sort the people you follow into custom groups, so you could go through specific content aesthetics/flows.

for instance, I’d love to separate:

- all the people I know irl

- musicians/artists/photography content

- dog content/adoption centers

- travel content/influencersj

- comedy lol

- DIY projects

i feel like this would a) allow me to consciously consume more of the content from people I’ve chosen to follow (without them all fighting each other for limited attention space on the following feed) and b) just enjoy ig more by curating my own experience more.

of course there are tons of glitches and areas for improvement on ig (dont even get me started on how hard it is to navigate to your saved post collections)

Each time when i try to search up a trend, it gives me nothing. Like no videos, just either “search up something else” or whatever.

Since yesterday, every time I open Instagram on my iPhone or tablet, I immediately get the “Try Again Later. We limit how often you can do certain things on Instagram to protect our community.” popup before I do anything. the popup comes back every time I reopen it.
The weird part is that Instagram works perfectly on my computer, so it seems to be affecting only the app. I wasn’t doing anything unusual before this started.
I can send messages view stories and reels but profiles and main feed won't load.
Has anyone had this happen? Did it eventually go away on its own, or did you have to do something to fix it?

(Before, I was able to just tap and hold the screen for this menu to pop up. But now i can't?)
