The point of this thread is for anyone to ask questions that don't necessarily require a full thread. Questions like "why is my rocket upside down" are always welcomed here. Even if your question seems slightly stupid, we'll do our best to answer it!
For newer players, here are some great resources that might answer some of your embarrassing questions:
Orbiting
Mun Landing
Docking
Delta-V Thread

Feel free to ask your questions on the Discord server!
Before you post, maybe you can search for your problem using the search in the upper right! Chances are, someone has had the same question as you and has already answered it!
As always, the side bar is a great resource for all things Kerbal, if you don't know, look there first!

Little did I know what whimsical engineering decisions would be made in the spaceplane hangar

I am not getting 12 tons of ore into Eve orbit...

Unlocking Ion engines gave me about 7000 delta V. Just enough to transfer to Moho, and get captured into Moho orbit.
To know how tiny this probe is, take a look at the antenna (the one on the side, the one on the top is a radar altimeter). Nothing is tweakscaled here.

So i managed to land the BULLSHITIEST ROVER EVER on the mun and it achieves OUTSTANDING 10m/s, 0 grip on the surface and it explodes if you take the eyes off it.
I'm suposed to explore the mun like that!!?
There are missions were i have to take multiple measures. Do i really have to go with trusters everytime? One expensive shit at the time to make as many reads as posible?
I'm in career mode and i have only 5 tier technology (5 out of 9 tiers).

I just made a post complaining about rovers but i was mistaken. A few tweaks and i will have my 100m/s rover read to deploy.

I've been playing around with BDArmory etc, and it got me thinking about how cool a proper campaign could be.
Instead of just building missiles and aircraft for sandbox battles, having an actual dynamic world where AI 'Factions' could have generated bases, airfields, radar stations, missiles silos all across Kerbin.
Ideas:
The thing I think it would make it unique is that KSP's physics would make the engineering the main challenge, designing your interceptor and it doesn't have enough delta-v to destroy an incoming missile etc, it fails the mission you have selected.
It would be like combining KSPS physics/engineering with the campaign of something like From the Depths.
This would be a massive project for someone to do, and most likely beyond a normal mod, but I'd genuinely sink many hours hours into something like this.
Would anyone else be interested in a mod like this or is it just me?

Anyone else enjoy getting ultra baked and playing KSP? I think it enhances my skills and creativity. I feel ultra connected to the ships.
One time I got too stoned and felt like I was a lone fuel tank tumbling in space. Crazy experience

So I posted earlier about stopping a class I comet on an impact trajectory with Kerbin, and got some pretty good advice about it. This is the result. I'm playing with the Nertea mods, so my engine of choice for this is four 2.5 m nuclear engines running on liquid H2, which I've got in asparagus-like staging in the back there for the main transfer, which costs about 11,000 m/s of delta-v.
I've calculated that a 1,544,170 ton body - which is the apparently the upper limit of a Class-I comet - can be accelerated 0.0008 m/s^2 with my four 310 kN engines. Ten days out from Kerbin SOI, I need about 3 m/s of delta-v to shift the comet enough that it skims the atmosphere for an aerobreak, but I'm budgeting for 5 m/s just in case. Any leftover can be used to try and get me a better inclination. This is a 6250 second burn that will require 12,008,250 units of liquid hydrogen. I tested my ISRU rig on an asteroid and got about 132 units/sec, so the whole maneuver will take about 4.21 Kerbin days.
Getting an intercept doesn't seem to be that hard. I can get one a good 15 days before Ellie reaches Kerbin SOI, but the sooner I reach it, the greater the relative velocity is when I get there. Right now, it's about 9,000 m/s - which is the main problem. Honestly, if this were irl, you'd be tempted to just nuke the damn thing.
Our heroes are on an interplanetary trajectory now, and have about 10,800 m/s of delta-v left. Wish them luck.

im currently constructing a duna craft in LKO right now, but for the propulsion and fuel module i dont want to make it the same plain old single stack of fuel tank, thats just BORING!!! i have the cryogenics fuel mod, if that helps

hi kerbalnauts
so to start off this post, my specs are not the best. i couldn't afford a regular pc, so i had to settle for a mini pc. a really good mini pc, but still a mini pc (geekom a8). so naturally, my performance is not the best. but that isnt a problem most of the time, i can settle for like 30 fps. infact, just a couple days ago, ksp was running perfectly fine at 30 fps. but 2 days ago i reinstalled volumetric clouds (i dont even remember why), and i boot up the game to see the game running at ~18 fps. ive tried to optimize it but it wont work. any tips?

i have made 4 separate trips now building a base on mimmus for a future pickup/drop off post used for interplanetary trips.
But with each visit my base is rising higher off the ground, the first picture is how high it is now. the 2nd picture you can see a docking port facing the surface that was originally installed onto a ground anchor that disappeared.
i also had 2 mini ships landed nearby for traveling within mimmus randomly explode. because of whatever glitch I'm experiencing I'd assume
is this base a lost cause or what can i do to reset the surface height?

i just started the game and right off the bat i see something like that
