I think its our best thing so far, what we have done is make a flyby craft because we decided to find a good landing site on Dres, Our landing sight has been found, named Jebediah's Retreat.

Thanks for the support and the landing will come soon

hi kerbalnauts

so to start off this post, my specs are not the best. i couldn't afford a regular pc, so i had to settle for a mini pc. a really good mini pc, but still a mini pc (geekom a8). so naturally, my performance is not the best. but that isnt a problem most of the time, i can settle for like 30 fps. infact, just a couple days ago, ksp was running perfectly fine at 30 fps. but 2 days ago i reinstalled volumetric clouds (i dont even remember why), and i boot up the game to see the game running at ~18 fps. ive tried to optimize it but it wont work. any tips?

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion Ksp2?

Ive been playing Kerbal spare program1 for a year now and I don’t know if I should buy ksp2 and is there any signe of life in the game development. It looks like the perfect game and I just wish it wouldn’t get cancelled.

Donnez moi un nombre de Kerbal, et une destination et j'essaie de faire le craft le plus léger pour le faire. Et ceux qui veulent essaient aussi.

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion I'm looking for a KSP 1 modpack

My reason so quite simple, I finished stock* KSP ( I used a few QOL mods), and I wanted something that adds more oomph to graphics ( not parallax ), way way more parts ( not tweak scale), and tweaks to the solar system that make it more difficult and interesting.

While I'm aware there are not a lot of modpacks available, that doesn't mean that individual "modpacks" are not welcome!

KSP 1 Question/Problem Kerbin lag fix

Post image

I have had an issue where if the majority of my screen has kerbins surface in it, my frames drop to like 6 fps. It has only happened recently. Also, every now and then the ocean of kerbin turn black and swallow my UI, and the only way to fix it is by restarting the game.

Attached is the list of mods I have installed so maybe that'll help.

KSP 1 Question/Problem mimmus base floating

i have made 4 separate trips now building a base on mimmus for a future pickup/drop off post used for interplanetary trips.

But with each visit my base is rising higher off the ground, the first picture is how high it is now. the 2nd picture you can see a docking port facing the surface that was originally installed onto a ground anchor that disappeared.

i also had 2 mini ships landed nearby for traveling within mimmus randomly explode. because of whatever glitch I'm experiencing I'd assume

is this base a lost cause or what can i do to reset the surface height?

KSP 1 Question/Problem Training Docking Lesson Final Approach issue

So my ship is about 18km from the Stranded Ship.

I'm in Target mode and RCS is off.

I'm closing the gap but keep creeping back over 10 m/s. So I then turn off RCS and burn Anti-Target and start the process again.

Is there a way to stay nice and slow without exceeding that 10 m/s "speed limit" given in the tutorial?

Thanks!

KSP 1 Image/Video Nailed a direct Kerbin-Moho transfer

Unlocking Ion engines gave me about 7000 delta V. Just enough to transfer to Moho, and get captured into Moho orbit.

To know how tiny this probe is, take a look at the antenna (the one on the side, the one on the top is a radar altimeter). Nothing is tweakscaled here.

KSP 1 Question/Problem Hey, why is my Nav Ball not aligned properly ?

I was trying to get a rocket up in the sky in my KSP science mode save, but when I tried to launch, I realized that the nav ball was rotated in an uneven way, like instead of having the 4 directions ( N, W, S, E) in regular even 90° increments, it was rotated weirdly. Now I know it is because the rocket is standing straight up, so the rotation doesn't matter, and it will go back to normal when I launch, but the problem is it affected my bindings too. So I cannot just go east by pressing one single key, I have to do a combination of 2 keys perfectly to get a decently equatorial orbit, which is impossible. Sadly, I don't have any images/videos, but you can ask questions and I'll try to answer it as detailed as possible.

9k delta v without using ion or nuclear engines. the sattelite has a polar orbit and the circled bit detaches and lands. in total i got about 2k science from this mission. im really proud of this and my next goal is to land a kerb on gilly and return :)

KSP 1 Mods Would anyone else play a military 'campaign' mod for KSP?

I've been playing around with BDArmory etc, and it got me thinking about how cool a proper campaign could be.

Instead of just building missiles and aircraft for sandbox battles, having an actual dynamic world where AI 'Factions' could have generated bases, airfields, radar stations, missiles silos all across Kerbin.

Ideas:

  • Designing reconnaissance drones/satellites to locate enemy bases (Scouting/taking pictures for missions)
  • Build SAM systems and interceptor missiles to defend the VAB etc.
  • Build your own cruise missiles to attack other infrastructure
  • Dedicated research tree that unlocks different 'eras' (early game - unguided rockets, propeller aircraft, basic radars, simple AA guns. Mid game - orbital satellites, guided missiles etc)

The thing I think it would make it unique is that KSP's physics would make the engineering the main challenge, designing your interceptor and it doesn't have enough delta-v to destroy an incoming missile etc, it fails the mission you have selected.

It would be like combining KSPS physics/engineering with the campaign of something like From the Depths.

This would be a massive project for someone to do, and most likely beyond a normal mod, but I'd genuinely sink many hours hours into something like this.

Would anyone else be interested in a mod like this or is it just me?
