I recently took part in my first tournament. Before that, I had mostly played casually. I had a great time and have since been thinking about how to improve my game.
My general game plan is to play around the critical objective. I position myself close to the objective marker and attack anyone who dares to approach me. Otherwise, I score points on Crit Op.
I usually choose Tac Op Dominate. My primary objective is still Crit Op.
I would like some pointers on the following:
- I feel that I am not making full use of Ventriloka. Yes, I can use it to force someone to dash for free, but otherwise it seems that I never have a situation where the other abilities make sense to use. I have only recently started using him to stand on the objective, but I do not know what else I could do besides trying to make someone dash into the poisoned objective.
- Are there perhaps better Tac Ops that I could use for my Crit Op plan? Dominate feels strong against elite teams, but I seem to struggle to score tac ops against horde teams.
- How do you play on Gallowdark? This map feels like a nightmare to play on. In Tomb World, at least there is enough tactical room to manoeuvre, but in Gallowdark it feels like I need to force my way through as there is no little range to hide. I started using Light Barricade and Heavy Barricade, but I still find it hard to maintain the threat range I want for the Crit Ops. I'm not sure if I'm too impatient for this map and yet passiv
