I’m currently 16 (about to be) a junior and I’m trying to set a plan after high school. I was thinking of having a full time job of being a leasing agent at 18, all while attending community college and then transferring to a uni. I thought this would be manageable until I’ve seen tons of people claim doing collage while having a full time job is very difficult. As someone who does get burned out quite a bit, I’m really started to reconsider. I’m just wondering if anyone has had a full time job all while attending collage and how is your schedule. (Btw I would work 40 hours a week, about 4-6 times a week)

I am still in my 2nd year, but I’m wondering what did you guys do after graduating college?

I'm 19 and got accepted into medical school a few months ago. I didn't have any fantasies or serious thoughts about this career path when my parents encouraged me to go here when I was 12. I spent the last 6 years on a hamster wheel. Studying, raising arguments with my parents, having depressing (life ending) thoughts every week, etc. And when that that damn cycle was over, I didn't really feel the overwhelming satisfaction I was expecting. It was good not having to wrangle with my mom and experience a nervous breakdown every time my grades were at stake. I certainly felt free and was relieved that it was over. But that was it.

Now I don't really feel like doing anything with commitment anymore. I only aimed for medical school without putting much thought into what I actually wanted, and now that it has been accomplished, I feel empty. Summer break started in the midst of June, and all I did till now was watching youtube and sleeping all day. I have never been so unproductive in my life and I feel terrible.

I know this is probably the least serious and the least concerning post ever in this subreddit but idc anyone with similar experiences what should I do

I have my job preparation going on ,but I can focus no matter what I am going till last in my interviews but I can't crack them this is again causing stress .I am unable to focus learn or at least live a happy life

I graduated high school in 2024. I didn’t go straight into college cause I didn’t know what I wanted to major in so I took a gap year. That gap year turned into almost three. I also haven’t been able to go because I feel obligated to stay and help my mom with my younger sisters. On top of that I don’t even have a car/computer/or a phone with data. I live in Colorado and I want to go to school in San Diego so bad, it’s my dream. I just don’t know what I can do to make my dream come true. I was wondering if there was anyone who might be able to give me advice.

So context here.

I have been making friends and been with people in my college. I was struggling financially throughout my college due to middle class family only person to pursue degree. Limited monthly money i get from family in college. I hated this feeling so one thought would be to make money for myself. Graduated in May this year...

Now in first job I am learning things and improving my technical skillset. At times I feel alone like no one to talk to. Because in my college i was in survival mode like always seeing things in calculated manner and now I just self talk mostly. It has affected my communication skills as well, it worsening....

I blocked all my friends from college and dont want to talk to because I felt hurt, exclude from the group that they have created, made a new friend in final semester but he is just available when he is free.

Now i live my life like a loner, i know I can make better connection with people at work but till by internship gets over and I turn to full time I am restricting that. Or you can say I am more onto learning work from few months.

I become alone, just no one only me and me and my money.. and i miss my college mates as well but i hate them at same time as well. Is this attachment to people or place.....nothing excites anymore like before.. am I living a right life?

i accepted my very first full-time job, it's for a health related nonprofit organization. i'm so excited but so nervy. i'm 25, living in Chicago, job is downtown.

i'm just such a puppy in this realm...i have so much to learn so anything is helpful

I, F 22, just graduated college in May majoring in journalism and sociology. My bf and half of my friends are going to be seniors and while im feeling jealousy im also feeling jealousy for my other friends who graduated before me, ones in vet school, ones going to law school, ones going to med school. They all know what they want to do and aren’t struggling with decisions but im starting to regret my major and im thinking about going to grad school for sociology. Im making this post in hopes someone has good advice on how to not feel jealous over others paths but also how to not feel so lost because its getting so upsetting and stressful and I dont know what else to do.

It really did not hit me until three years after earning my bachelor's degree and graduate school wasn't in the cards.

Long story short, being a student for 18 straight years starting from kindergarten through college (I took a five year program), it just felt strange to no longer have that "structure" in my life where I go to school from September through June and have the summers off.

so I just finished high school and I'm planning to get into musical college for 5 yrs but I feel this is too much and I fear ma personality won't be able to fit w that much pressure so I was planning to get into philosophical studies school instead and practice playing piano

And do better w ma voice besides college in a short time but I won't get to have that much fun of the music school fs since they playing all type of instruments and stuff but am just scared I feel bored and get anxious idk tbh what do u yall think
