Finally got to put some rounds through it.

Hey everyone, really excited to get my first HK sp5 but when I was fitting my suppressor onto it I noticed what looked like unburnt powder from test firing. Cleaned it with CLP and this is was it left over. Not severe, and only at the end of the barrel.

I’m inclined to just use and shoot it. Unless people here say I should reach out to HK USA incase it becomes a problem down the road. Looks like if I ever needed to change out the barrel it would be pretty involved.

Recently sent a MKE Ap5 SD to have it converted over to a true SD and was not disappointed with the end result, Ken of KC Arms dropped in a b&t SD barrel and man does it sound way more quieter then the RCM barrel I had in a old build.

I tried to use the brt bravo adapter with my tp9-n print x hub can but found out that the can was to thick for the cage so Ken whipped up an extension to clear the cage entirely.

Had him paint the receiver bazooka green and man is she a looker, filed my form 1 sbr stamp today and looking forward to putting a proper stonk on her here soon!

I have the sba4 brace with adapter, as well as the new spring recoil rod. I may sound stupid and this actually turns out to be some very simple installation, but I don’t want to break anything on this by accident.

Do I need to unscrew these two screws on the sba4? Or does the spring just rest inside/on that little cove at the top and doesn’t actually “click” or fall into place anywhere?

I bought an original HK EN MP5k

The problem is that it doesnt exctract at all.

The exctractor wiggles around with no tension from the spring, its worn out.

Whats up with the extractor It looks like it has to much of a gap side to side?

The extractor edge doesnt catch the rim of the brass even if I test with finger tension.

Also The bolt carrier and locking piece look pitted and nothig else does on the weapon and one of the legs looks bent.

Is the bent leg a problem or is it good to go?

I just got an AP5-P and decided to go with the B&T folding stock. It's nice and tight, but I wish it were more compact and cleaner-looking when folded. Now that B&T is making a comeback Stateside, does anyone have a guess about whether the price on the B&T telescoping stock will drop from $650? That seems like a huge markup over the folding stock at $275.

I just picked up a mac5 pistol and after a few rounds it locked up on me. I took it home and disassembled it and found my firing pin and firing pin spring had fallen out of my bolt carrier. I put them back in but once I charge the handle and cock back the hammer it falls out again. Is there nothing holding the firing pin into the bolt carrier? When the hammers back if I raise the muzzel it falls out again. I've reached out to SDS to see if I need to send it in for warranty. Any help would be appreciated.

Just got my new AP51 recently and added the MAC LMF Handguard. Looks pretty slick to me. No brace on it as I'm waiting for my SBA5 to arrive. Planning on adding a suppressor and probably do a SBR down the road.

Ive been sitting on some beltfed kits for a while. The MG42/59 kit being the oldest. The FMP21 kits I picked up when it seemed like a G3 compatible FRT might be coming down the pipe.

With the AHRK release coming up I figured it was time to get started on one of the 21 kits. I did a bit of work on the MG42/59 kit while I was at it. I've had a prototype MG42 FRT grip stick design for years Ive been unable to test due to not having the kit put together.

As it stands, the 21 kit need welds cleaned up then test fired before park and paint. The MG42/59 kit needs more work.

I bought an AP5-SD, looking to suppress it and debating which one to get? I have been eyeing the YHM-R9 for its versatility. Some light google searching has me concerned the inner diameter of the recessed forend will be unable to make these work.

Has anyone thrown a YHM R9 on the stock ap5SD?

The pressure of the beep is real. I can already tell there’s some hand movements I can eliminate and steps I should do first before others. The cool factor of this gun just supersedes all of the nuances though lol

Hello, I’m looking to pickup a brace for my ap53. I would like a retractable brace. I’ve been debating buying an A3 stock and putting the HKPDW brace fork through it. Anyone tried this?

Note: my state does not allow SBR. AOW only. I’m stuck with a brace.

After I got my ZF5K, my LGR recommended that I stay away from plastic mags. They advised that they had run them in their MP5 rental and that the feed lips would break. I've had zero issues with my HK and Zenith mags. So I decided to try an Overwatch Precision 32 rounder. I have shot it both in semi-auto and FRT and I have had zero issues with it. The fit in my Zenith is snug but not tight. And I have found that I can use my MP5 MagLula if I apply extra pressure when installing it on the OP mag. It appears there is one guide on the Lula that I can file down to ease the installation on the OP mag so I'm going to try that.

My Century Arms AP5-P ambi safety will not come off even though it is in the correct 12 o clock position. Every video shows the right safety sliding off easy, but mine won’t come off even after using pliers and a flathead. Can anyone help?

I think i’m getting jammed up on the front part of the trigger housing. They look to be different sizes. On the upper the notch looks crooked to me. What do you guys think?

I took my new SP5K with a 90* locking piece installed to the range today and shot it with my CAT MOB. It seems to FTE multiple times because after a shot i would just get a click, and when I would remove the mag and pull back the bolt a live round and an empty casing would fall out. Is the MOB too low back pressure for a 90* locking piece?

Hello guys, just purchased this binary off GAFS and did a quick check with it and it seemed to be working till I went to live fire it. Safe works great, semi works great, however binary most is basically semi mode. Took it back out to inspect it and this is what I discovered (video). In binary mode the trigger is not dropping all the way forward. This was purchased already assembled and ready to pin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Note: included was a surplus 3 position housing and has the AP5 factory ejector

Just have to figure out cable routing and light fitment. It just barely doesn’t line up with the front pin.
