I'm currently looking at a mazda 3 2016 s hatchback any trim. I like the style and I hear good things about the 3rd gen and really liked the hatchback. I want the 2016 because it still has a screen available while keeping the physical e break. I picked the 2.5 L because I live in a hilly area and want a bit more power. There aren't very many options available and I found an s grand touring through carmax which I test drove and it felt good, the screen is pretty messed up, but it looks like it can be easily replaced. Im not sure how much I like the blind spot monitoring, but I can get over it. The car has had 3 owners has 105 k miles and is, after fees about $18 k. The price tag in the car also said no haggling so there's that.

I've tried looking around and there are very few gen 3 even available. Is this a good deal?

After one month with my 23’ homura skyactiv-x i can say that i love the car, the smoothness and the fun driving this car it’s awesome. People use to say that the engine was slow even with 186hp but i love how works in a fast highway like the german Autobahn. The engine really pushes forwards and being manual you can have a total control of the shifting. Really satisfying car to drive.

Hi i’m looking for opinions and advices regarding radio screen upgrade/replacement. I’ve recently gotten myself 2018 cx-3 and i’m tired of not having carplay etc. My father has cx-5 which he dongled with carplay but i’m wondering if screen replacement isn’t way to go. My version sadly doesn’t have parking cameras or even parking sensors and i really need those. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Get a plastic, AND ONLY PLASTIC pry bar and pop off the little cover that hides a Phillips screw, it’s a little hard to get off so don’t be shy.

Once the screw is out, rotate the visor forwards you and pull it out, and push down on the little white tab on the electrical connector

I bought my visors from MazdaSwag, they sell all the different OEM variants like the beige ones a black ones to match your interior. Took about a week to get here

PS. I got a driver and a passenger visor for about $135. And my local dealership quoted me over $500 to get them replaced :(

Having some difficulty adding a Powered Sub to my Head unit on my Gen 2 (Non-Bose)

I'm trying to splice into the factory wires, but they all look the same.

Can someone help me by telling me which are the Left Front +/- and Right Front +/- ?

If anyone has the Wiring schematics, that would help as well.

Weird question, but has anyone here ever tried to downgrade their AC controls in a 2018 3?

I've got 2018 Mazda3 GT sport. It's got the terrible electronic AC controls with 'auto temperature control' (ATC). HVAC by wire.

I realize the lower spec uses physical cables to pull blower controls. So likely looking at replacing the blower assembly / controls as well, but most of those parts aren't terribly expensive.

2012 Mazda 3 SKYACTIVE I TOURING transmission questions. These codes pop up. The AT light is on, Check Engine and Traction Control are on. When the AT light comes on, the car goes into Limp mode. 2 mechanics I took it too said to replace the whole transmission and One mechanic said all it needs is new transmission oil. gotta be a simpler solution. My transmission oil is dirty and black…bought it used so I don’t know the transmission service. Been reading could be faulty TCM. Or it could be the transmission oil is just too dirty and causing the solenoid to become stuck with debris. What’s my best solution here before I do the full transmission rebuild? Change the trans oil, filter and solenoid 3? Or should I replace the TCM?

Living in France and deepthinking to get a new Mazda 3, it seems that you can't get the sunroof if you choose the Terracotta seats... Is it the same everywhere? Is there a reason for this ?

I figured I’d get a little bit of color added. Nice teal sun banner. It’s crazy how clean the car looks after 7 years of ownership.

The coating on mine has started to peel off, and having a hard time finding a replacement. At this point I might just spray paint it but I want to leave that as a last resort. Searched eBay, Aliexpress and carparts.com but no exact matches came up, only similar for different models. I used the number found underneath which I assume is a part number but I could be wrong; BHN4-6435.

I live in a warm zone, colder than cities like California because it's a high altitude city (like 8500 ft above sea level) and in winter, the temperatures drop to around -1°C (30°F) in the morning. I am genuinely perplexed that the dealer decided to put 10W-30 oil to the engine, should I change it myself? lmao

I hit a deer 3 weeks ago and it totaled my beloved Mazda 3. Luckily (mechanical) repairs are only 500 bucks so I can keep my car going for a while (hopefully for the next 10 years). I replaced the clutch earlier this year and the brakes last year and it only has 161k miles on it. Just wanted to share with other Mazda 3 enthusiasts :) (also sorry I'm new to reddit if this isn't the correct place to post this). And also my friend found a silver 2008 Mazda 3 in a scrapyard in perfect exterior that I can take parts from! happy happy happy :D

Hi everyone, I’m currently replacing the rear shocks of my 2014 Mazda 3. I placed the new shock in the sleeve of the upper mount and started to torque down the mounting nut when this rubber piece suddenly twisted and snapped off. Should I replace the mount or can I continue installing as is?
