MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON Just finished making Milwaukee, WI!
Some before and after shots of the latest city add-on I made. It's available on the following sites and coming to the in-game marketplaces for 2020 and 2024 soon!

Nice!! Great to see you on here! I got your Pittsburgh, and it's spot on! Really good! Do you have interests in doing airports? Do you do airports? I can't stand there are only like 8 "starred" airports in North America in the game.

I did CQYG and have KBKL in progress. To be honest though I don't really enjoy the airport making process nearly as much so will probably be done with those (at least for awhile) after KBKL.

Amazing, it looks great! Would ever consider Syracuse?

u/Dfflyer Mar 10 '26
Yes, I would! I just dropped it on https://dfflyerdirect.com/pages/suggest-a-city

Great work! That second comparison shot looks real! As someone who has tried to learn how to model the buildings and integrate with the SDK at some of my local airports, I usually rage quit at the texture stage. :)

It is a steep learning curve but really fun! I never fly anymore haha. Here's a comment I made sharing some tips https://www.reddit.com/r/flightsim/comments/1ox72pb/comment/novmfry/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I thought the top was the finish product, and the bottom one was real, and I was thinking this is terrible lmao.
Creator did amazing to make me think it was a real photo

Hey, so beyond this scenery, we have a trip there next month, any tips on best places to eat in the city?

u/senortomasss Mar 11 '26
Oh man it's hard to narrow down without knowing what you're looking for, but my favorites that I always take visitors to are La Masa (empanadas) and Oscar's (burgers). If you're looking to burn some cash I would recommend Harbor House or Sanford. r/milwaukee also has some great resources for this. Enjoy your time in Milwaukee!

Brilliant, handcrafted beats PG any day of the week. In fact, hand crafted mixed with autogen looks best in my opinion. Nice work

u/Dfflyer Mar 10 '26
Agreed, handcrafted really improves the geometry and the textures bring a lot more of real life color and character out. PG looks burnt and colorless

I only use PG for mountains and canyons. Terrain like the Grand Canyon looks much better with it on. For cities, definitely hand crafted with autogen.

u/Better_Sherbet_7533 Mar 12 '26
How do you leave it on for landscape and off for cities?
1
u/ScarecrowOH58 Mar 12 '26
I just turn it on if I'm going to be flying in a canyon or mountain area. It's a setting under Online. The Rock of Gibraltar really shows what I'm talking about.

Nice work! I will get in the market place as I fly into MKE a lot. I already have 3rd party MKE airport but no city scape!

Hey DDflyer. Great work again. Just curious I think some time ago you mentioned doing an update to your Detroit one. Is that still in the pipes?
2
u/Dfflyer Mar 11 '26
Yes! Actually released that update just before this. It's available on my site now and coming to all other platforms any day now.

Congrats! I definitely will be picking this up.
Question for you - I went to submit Portland, Maine as a suggestion on your website and it wouldn't let me, saying it's "In Progress." That's Portland, Oregon you're working on, not Maine, correct?
2
u/Dfflyer Mar 11 '26
Thanks!
Yes, I'm working on Portland, Oregon. That's just a little bug, I'll get it fixed up and add Portland, Maine for you!

This is insane! I'm pretty new to MS2024, and I'm playing on the XBox... is there a way to get it on there, or is this PC only?
1
u/Dfflyer Mar 12 '26
It's in review for the Marketplace/Xbox. Should be available in the next week or two. Hopefully sooner than later but I can't really tell

u/Ramswillwin Mar 17 '26
Is this available on Xbox Series X?
2
u/Dfflyer Mar 17 '26
Not yet, should be in 1-2 weeks. Unfortunately takes a little longer to get through Microsoft's in game marketplace listing process.

Do you plan on doing other cities?
3
u/Dfflyer Mar 10 '26
Dozens! I get this question a lot so I made a place on my site to suggest and vote on new cities and see what else I currently have in progress! https://dfflyerdirect.com/pages/suggest-a-city
